이 연구는 한국 아동의 초기 문해력 발달 특성을 반영하여 초등학교 2학년에 초점화된 표준화된 초기 문해력 검사 도구를 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 초기 문해력 검사는 음절글자 읽기, 구절 읽기, 읽기 유창성, 문장 받아쓰기라는 네 가지 소검사로 구성되어 있으며, 7월과 다음해 2월 두 차례에 걸쳐 동일한 대상에게 동일한 방법으로 검사를 실시함으로써 각 영역별로 문해력 발달을 반영한 규준을 산출하였다. 검사 실시를 위해 중소 도시 두 곳과 이 중소 도시를 둘러싼 읍면 지역 두 곳에서 사회경제적 수준과 학력이 중간 정도인 초등학교 4개를 표집하였으며, 각 학교별로 2학년 두세 학급을 선정하여 대략 200여명의 아동을 대상으로 개별검사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과 7월과 이듬해 2월 간 소검사 별로 평균의 변화가 유의하게 나타났고, 특히 읽기 유창성 검사에서의 점수 변화가 두드러졌다. 검사 시점 별로 네 가지 소검사에 대한 점수 분포를 구분점수로 나타내었는데 구분점수에 따른 원점수 분포의 차이가 뚜렷하여 이 연구에서 사용한 초기 문해력 평가 도구는 2학년 아동의 문해력 발달 양상을 측정하기에 적절한 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 연구 결과는 초등학교 저학년 시기 또래의 평균 수준에 해당하는 초기 문해력을 습득하지 못한 아동을 조기에 발견하고 교육적 개입을 앞당기는 데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. This study aims at developing standardized test tools to assess second graders' early literacy by applying Korean children's features in the development of early literacy. The early literacy assessment consists of 4 subtests: syllable reading, phrase reading, reading fluency, and sentence dictation. The test was administered one on one on July and February of the next year with the same children following the same procedures. To collect data, researchers sampled about 200 students at 4 elementary schools, 2 from medium-sized cities and 2 from rural provinces. The schools were considered in the middle in terms of parents' socioeconomic status and children's academic abilities. Mean scores significantly changed between July and February. In particular, the mean change was noticeable in reading fluency. Stanine scores were provided in the four subtests. The raw scores in each interval differed between the two points, which supports the validity of the test tools in assessing development in second graders' early literacy. The findings of this study will be useful to identify struggling readers in their 2nd year of schools and to expedite their early intervention.

초등교사의 ADHD에 대한 지식수준, ADHD아동 통합에 대한 태도 및 생활지도방법 활용에 대한 분석

The purpose of this study was to examine elementary teachers’ knowledge of ADHD and their attitudes toward including children with ADHD into general education classrooms and to investigate the relationships across elementary teachers’ knowledge, their attitudes, and use of behavior management strategies. A total of 368 elementary teachers in Seoul and Kyunggido participated in the study. Overall, the participant teachers’ level of knowledge on ADHD was low. Particularly, the teachers lacked the knowledge on the causes and diagnosis of ADHD and medication for children with ADHD. Although approximately 54% of the teachers were positive about inclusion, they presented considerable concerns about dealing with behavior problems that children with ADHD tend to exhibit. The teachers’ level of knowledge on ADHD had significantly positive relationships with their attitudes toward inclusion of children with ADHD and use of behavior management strategies. The teachers who exhibited negative attitudes toward inclusion of children with ADHD were more likely to use punishment-based behavior management strategies compared to those who were positive. Completion of inservice education and courses regarding ADHD and experience of teaching students with ADHD had a significantly positive relationship with their level of knowledge on ADHD. Additionally, the teachers who received inservice education regarding ADHD and took relevant courses had significantly more correct information and misconceptions of ADHD compared to the other teachers.

이 연구는 한국 아동의 초기 문해력 발달의 특성을 반영하여 1학년 아동들에 초점화된 초기 문해력 검사 도구를 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 또한 초기 문해력 교육에 대한 현장 교사의 전문성과 통제력을 강화하기 위하여 검사 실시와 채점, 결과 해석까지 교사가 주도할 수 있는 간명한 검사 도구를 개발하고 그 규준을 제공한다. 검사 도구는 한국 아동의 초기 문해력 발달 양상을 반영하여 자모 이름 대기, 단어 읽기, 읽기 유창성, 단어 받아쓰기라는 네 가지 하위 검사로 구성 되었다. 검사 도구를 실행하기 위해 대표적인 두 개의 중소 도시와 중소 도시를 둘러싼 두 개의 읍면 지역에서 중간 수준의 학교 4개를 표집하였으며, 각 학교별로 1학년 2~3학급씩 200여 명의 아동을 대상으로 개별 검사를 실시하였다. 검사는 7월과 12월 두 차례에 걸쳐 동일한 대상에 대해 동일한 방법으로 실시함으로써 발달에 따른 규준의 정교화를 시도하였다. 연구 결과 1학년 시기 한국 아동의 초기 문해력 발달 양상을 반영한 검사 도구를 개발하고, 검사 도구의 신뢰도를 검증하기 위하여 문항 내적 일치도와 반분 신뢰도를 산출하였다. 검정하였다. 검사 도구의 규준은 구분 점수로 환산하여 제시하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 초등학교 저학년 시기 또래의 평균 수준에 해당하는 초기 문해력을 습득하지 못한 아동을 조기에 발견하고 최대한 빨리 교육적 개입을 할 수 있는 기반을 제공할 것이다. This study aims at developing test tools for early literacy focused on 1st graders in elementary schools. The tools provide clear and simple norm to which school teachers can determine their children``s test results, so that they reinforce their professionalism and control on early literacy education. The test tools consist of 4 sub tools: Korean alphabet naming, word reading list, reading fluency, and word dictation list. To collect data, researchers sampled two medium-sized cities and two rural provinces and selected 4 representative schools from sampled regions. From each school, approximately 50 1st graders were tested one-on-one, totally about 200. To follow the developmental continuum of children, the data were collected two times from the same students of the same schools; on July and December. The validity of the test tools was discussed and the reliability of the test tools were verified. The result was standardized and was provided in stanine scores. This result will provide a base to identify struggling readers earlier in their lst year of schools and start the early intervention to catch up average level of reading development.
