People could not imagine living without tab water. However, the water filtering process at a purification plant used to produce tab water creates tons of sludge, which is generally wasted. This sludge waste consists of (1) mineral elements, such as sand, (2) organic materials, and (3) a coagulant, which agglomerates the two. As an enormous amount of sludge waste is generated every year, numerous studies have been carried out to identify how to deal with this problem. Currently, however, most of the sludge waste is directly discarded in landfills. In the present study, water-purified sludge waste received a heat treatment at $1300^{\circ}C$ and was then ground into particles to be used as a ceramic material. Next, the resultant particles were compounded with chamotte substitutes to produce grogged clay that is suitable for wheel-throwing ceramics. Consequently, the plasticity of the sludge waste decreased as the content of calcination increased. Thus, it is considered that wheel throwing is available only up to PBF-3. Thus, it is available for wheel throwing and has a high strength of 864 $kgf/cm^2$ with less than 0.2 percent of porosity and absorption ratio were displayed in PBF-2 at $1280^{\circ}C$ with 20 percent of calcination from the purified sludge. Therefore, the PBF-2 body produced in this study was considered to be capable of replacing grogged clay in the market.
돼지 뼈를 이용한 Bone Ash 제조 및 청자 Bone 소지에 관한 연구

Recently, Korean food culture has westernized and the consumption of meat has been increased. As a result an enormous amount of disposal of bone is generated and most of them are buried without reutilization. By making bone ash using pig bone, the possibilities of application are examined. The purpose of this study is to establish a manufacturing process of bone ash for the celadon bone body using pig bone. The calcination of the pig bone was mostly to change to the calcium phosphate hydroxide $(Ca_5(PO_4)_3OH)$. The celadon body mixed with pig bone ash 8%, $CaCO_3$ 9%, when fired at $1240^{\circ}C$ under reduction atmosphere, shows 0.1% of water absorption, 65.23 MPa of bending strength.

본 연구의 목적은 활성화되어 있는 천안 종합버스터미널 상업지역과 침체된 천안역 상업지역의 도심환경 인 식 차이에 대한 분석을 통하여 천안역 상업지역의 이용자 만족도에 영향을 미치는 도심 환경요소를 찾는데 있다. 요 인분석을 통하여 도심환경 요소들은 보행환경의 쾌적성, 상업·업무시설이용의 용이성, 도심환경의 쾌적성, 대중교통 접근성, 거리디자인(상징성) 등으로 분류되었다. 천안역 상업지역의 만족도에 상대적으로 크게 영향을 미치는 도심환 경요인은 보행환경의 쾌적성과 상업·업무시설이용의 편리성인 2개 요인들인 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 향후 천안역 상업지역의 활성화를 위한 사업시행 시 보행환경이 쾌적하게 유지될 수 있도록 개선이 필요하며, 상업·업무시설인 은 행이나 복합쇼핑몰 등을 효과적으로 배치할 수 있는 방안을 찾을 필요가 있다. The aim of this study is to analyze the general satisfaction of the commercial areas near Cheonan central bus terminal and the rail-station and to extract various environmental factors of the city center which give effect to the user satisfaction of commercial area. As the result of the analyses, the environmental factors of the city center make a difference between the commercial areas of Cheonan central bus terminal and of the station in the aspects of user satisfaction. The user satisfaction of the commercial areas is appeared highest in 'comfort of walking environments' and 'convenience of commerce business transaction' which were environmental factors of the city center. For reactivation of the commercial area near Cheonan rail-station are needed improvement of walking environments and relocation of facilities as complex mall and bank etc.

To evaluate the performance and durability of membrane, measurement of hydrogen crossover is needed during PEMFC(Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells) operation. In this work, concentration of hydrogen at cathode was analysed by gas chromatograph during operation suppling with air instead of inert gas into the cathode. The hydrogen permeated through membrane reacted with oxygen at cathode and then the concentration of hydrogen was lower than in case inert gas was supplied. Hydrogen concentration decreased as the flow rate of air increased at cathode. Increase of temperature, humidity and pressure of anode gas enhanced the hydrogen concentration at cathode. The hydrogen concentration was about 5.0 ppm at current density of 120 mA/㎠ during general PEMFC operation.

Recently, there are many efforts focused on development of more economical non-fluorinated membranes for use in PEMFCs (Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells). In this study, characteristics of poly(arylene ether sulfone)( PAES) were compared with fluorinated membrane at PEMFC operation condition. I-V polarization curve, hydrogen crossover, electrochemical surface area, membrane resistance and charge transfer resistance were measured. PAES membrane showed similar performance compared with fluorinated membrane at 100% relative humidity, but the performance of PAES membrane decreased largely due to low ionic conductivity at low relative humidity.

Until a recent day, degradation of PEMFC MEA(membrane and electrode assembly) has been studied, separated with membrane degradation and electrode degradation, respectively. But membrane and electrode were degraded coincidentally at real PEMFC operation condition. During simultaneous degradation, there was interaction between membrane degradation and electrode degradation. Hydrogen permeability was used often to measure degradation of electrolyte membrane in PEMFC. In case of hydrogen permeability measured by LSV(Linear Sweep Voltammetry) method, the degradation of electrode decrease the value of hydrogen crossover current due to LSV method`s dependence on electrode active area. In this study hydrogen permeability was measured by gas chromatograph (GC) when membrane and electrode degraded at the same time. It was showed that degradation of electrode did not affect the hydrogen permeability measured by GC because of GC method`s independence on electrode active area.
