Vibrational analysis for a machine vision system of the nanoimprint process is presented in this article. For the nano-imprinting equipment, the machine vision system is one of the essential parts in order to align the several layers or in order to inspect nano/micro patterns transferred by the nanoimprint. In the development, system resonance due to internal or external vibrational sources should be considered. In fact, the microvibration phenomenon is usually observed when measuring the position of the patterns by using the machine vision system. In this work, a detail design of the machine vision system is depicted. Based on the design, the normal mode analysis and frequency response analysis are carried out in order to find and to suppress the source of the micro-vibration. In the future, we hope that the results of the design consideration will be a guideline for constructing a machine vision system for the nanoimprint process.

The survey on the convertible roof system is introduced in this study. Various automotive companies in Europe, United states, and Japan have produced the conventional vehicles for several decades and the convertibles are very common in the foreign countries in these days. Although the demand for the convertible vehicles has been increased in Korea, the development of the original convertible vehicles are on its beginning stage. In order to develop the convertible vehicle, the roof system design for the convertible vehicles are essential and the research on the roof system should be conducted. In this paper, the convertible roof systems in conventional convertibles are discussed. The type and the mechanism of convertible roof systems are explained and compared. The direction of roof system research is also proposed.

The four-bar mechanism needs numerous analysis and repetitive design processes to find the optimal design. Typically, parameter study is performed to find such design. However, this process demands more time during designing, and has a difficulty to meet many constraints. In order to mitigate this problem, this study instead applies the meta-model-based designing process to the four-bar mechanism. The processes divide into three phases. The first phase is to create a base model of four-bar mechanism. The second phase is to create generate a metal model. An experiment point is constructed based on the eight design variables and LHC DOE. The last phase is to find the optimal solution that meets constraints and objectives by using an optimization algorithm. This study also seeks robustness in optimization and design by considering each variable’s difference.
