전력선 통신(PLC : Power Line Communication)은 현재 모든 가구에 전력선이 보급돼 있어 현존하는 인프라 중 가장 광범위한 네트워크를 구성하고 있다는 평가를 받는다. 이와 더불어 네트워크 구성에 필요한 비용이 거의 들지 않는다는 장점은 투자자들과 관련 사업자들의 관심을 끌기에 충분하다. PLC란 전력을 공급하는 전력선을 매개체로 음성과 데이터를 수백KHz~수십MHz 고주파 신호에 실어 통신하는 기술을 의미한다. 하지만 전력선을 그대로 사용한다는 단점 때문에 기존의 사용되는 무선 통신 시스템과의 간섭이 발생한다. 이러한 간섭을 제거하기 위해서 일반적인 방법으로는 Notch 필터를 주로 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 CIC filter 방식을 적용한 동적 고성능 Notch filter를 MATLAB을 통해 성능을 확인하였고 TI사의 TMS320C6416T DSP 보드를 이용하여 구현하였다. But because uses power lines as existing wireless communications systems will occurs interference. The notch filters of a common way to eliminate the interference are used. In this paper, a dynamic high-performance notch filter applying CIC filter performance was verified through MATLAB and was implemented using a TI's TMS320C6416T DSP board.

This study analyzes weather derivatives as an alternative risk management tool to stabilize farm revenue to complement the existing crop insurance program which suffers from asymmetric information problems such as adverse selection, moral hazard, and verifiability. We estimated apple yield functions to observe the relationship between yields and weather indices such as temperature and precipitation. Based on the estimated yield functions we designed weather futures and options products underlying temperature and precipitation, and calculated the prices of futures and options by two different approaches, historical distribution and Monte Carlo simulation. We found that weather futures and options stabilize farm revenue based on the estimated four risk indicators: Coefficient of Variation, Value at Risk, Certainty Equivalence, and Risk Premium. As a result, weather derivatives could be considered as a potential farm risk management tool through studying more in legal and institutional strategies and developing various derivatives products.

Objective : The aim of this study was to evaluate the treatment result and quality of life (QOL) in patients with intracanalicular to small-sized vestibular schwannoma (VS), who were managed with microsurgery or gamma knife radiosurgery (GKS). Methods : Medical records of 40 patients who were available on the telephone interview and were followed up more than 6 months after treatment for VS of Koss grade 2 or less from 1997 to 2007 were reviewed. Eighteen patients were treated with microsurgery via translabyrinthine approach and 22 patients were treated with GKS. We evaluated tumor control rate, complications and QOL. To evaluate the QOL, we used the Glasgow Benefit Inventory questionnaires with telephone interview. Result : The mean observation time was 26.85 months. Sixteen patients (88.89%) in microsurgery group did not develop recurrence of tumor. Twenty patients (90.91%) in GKS group were controlled with less than 140% volume increase. One patient in microsurgery group had facial nerve palsy (FNP) worse than House-Brackmann (H-B) Grade III at last follow-up, while no patient developed FNP worse than H-B grade III in GKS group. Although GKS group had higher score in GBI questionnaires, the difference was not significant in comparison with microsurgery group. Conclusion : In small VS, microsurgey and GKS showed similar tumor control and complication rate. Microsurgery group did not have worse QOL than GKS group.
