한국의 서스펜디드 커피(Suspended Coffee) 운동, 미리내 가게의 소비자주의적 가치 연구

caffè sospeso'는 커피 한 잔을 사면서 다른 사람을 위해 추가로 미리 커피 값을 미리 지불하면, 주머니 사정이 여의치 않은 사람 누구나 값을 선(先)지불한 커피를 무료로 마실 수 있던 백 여년 전 나폴리의 전통이었다. 2차 대전 이후 재건이 이루어지면서 지역 사회의 성탄절 관습으로 남아 있던 이 전통은 2008년부터 세계 경제 침체와 함께 유로존에 심각하고 실질적인 불황이 닥치자 다시 시작되었다. 경제 불황에 대한 대중의 문제의식을 바탕으로 시작된 자발적이고 윤리적인 소비전통은 이번에는 SNS를 통해 지역사회의 영역을 넘어 전 세계적으로 확산되고 있다. 지역적 확장과 더불어 까페 내에서 간단히 먹을 수 있는 다른 먹거리, 까페가 아닌 다른 업태에 까지 적용되고 일관된 운영 원칙과 소비자 참여를 바탕으로 발전하고 있다. 이러한 움직임에서 서스펜디드 커피운동은 삶의 질을 향상시키고자 하는 이념과 철학, 그리고 실천적 노력으로서의 새로운 소비자주의적 가치를 지녔다고 볼 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내에서 서스펜디드 운동을 표방해 진행되고 있는 '미리내 가게'가 표방하는 가치를 기호학적 관점에서 파악하고, 그 결과를 소비자주의적 가치에 대입하여 이 운동에 내재된 의의를 확인하였다. The purpose of this study was to confirm the meaning of consumerism of Suspended Coffee Movement through an analysis of characteristic features of Suspended Coffee Movement in Korea, 'Mirinae store'. About 100 years ago, Suspended Coffee was a traditional custom around Neapolitan local community to overcome economic crisis after the second world war. The cooperation between consumers and small business owners became a volunteer solidarity as buying additional coffee in advance for someone in need. Since 2008, the tradition has begun again in Eurozone contrary to the economic downfalls as an effort to solve problems in the market economy system by the cooperative ethical spending behavior. It has been spreaded out over the world as a consumer movement by the effect of social network service(SNS). 'Mirinae store' has started from a local community, Geochang in Korea as standing for the value of Suspended Coffee movement. In order to explore its characteristic features, Greimas' semiotic square was used as a method. In the homepage of 'Mirinae store', the visual contents in the surface structure connoted 4 compositive stories in the narrative structure : a story of a contract, a story of a change, a story of a communication, and a story of sharing. The 4 stories made 2 meanings(identities) in the deep structure : difference and autonomy that advocate the comprehensive identity of Mirinae store. The major values from the Greimas' semiotic analysis imply the following meaning of consumerism. First, encouragement and realization of consumer sovereignty, second, practical action of social responsibility, third, construction of trust in society, and finally, reinforcement of consumers' ability. Therefore, Mirinae store is a significant ethical consumer's trial for a better life, and a reflection of newly re-conceptualized and extended concept of consumerism.

대학생 소비자의 신용카드 및 체크카드 사용실태와 재무관리행태에 대한 연구

정부는 가계부채 대책의 하나로 체크카드 사용을 권장하기 위해 2011년 체크(직불)카드의 소득공제 혜택에 차별화를 두었고 활성화 대책을 세워 확대하고자 검토하였다. 체크카드를 사용하는 대학생은 향후 5년 가처분소득이 증가하는 사회인으로 성장할 것이며 체크카드를 이용하는 소비습관이 유지될 가능성이 크다. 체크카드는 신용카드와 다르게 불확실한 미래수입을 담보로 하는 거래가 아니기 때문에 연체가 발생하지 않고 신용위험이 없다. 그러므로 대학생 소비자의 소비패턴을 파악하기 위해 신용카드뿐 아니라 체크카드 실태에 대한 파악과 그에 따른 재무관리행동 연구가 필요하다. 그러나 고정소득이 없는 경우 원칙적으로 신용카드를 발급받을 수 없음에도 대학생의 경우 신용카드 이용에 관해서만 연구되었을 뿐 체크카드 사용에 대한 연구는 전무한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 신용카드, 체크카드 병행 사용자와 체크카드 단일 사용자로 대학생 소비자를 구분하고 개인적인 특성이 어떻게 다른지 살펴보며 재무관리 태도와 재무관리 행동은 어떠한지 살펴보고자 한다. 이러한 분석을 위해 서울 소재 4년제 대학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였고 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 사용하여 연구문제에 따라 빈도분석, t-test, 일원배치 분산분석, 회귀분석 등을 실시하였다. 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 체크카드만 단일 이용하는 응답자의 보유카드 수와 주로 사용하는 카드 수가 더 많았으며 월평균 카드 결제금액도 높았고 결제 품목은 대다수 간식ㆍ식사비 결제에 사용되었다. 둘째, 학년이 높고 기숙사에 살기보다 부모님과 동거하거나 자취 및 하숙할수록 아버지의 직업이 전문직/관리직이거나 자영업일 경우와 월평균 지출금액이 높을 경우에 신용카드와 체크카드를 병행하여 사용할 확률이 높았다. 셋째, 체크카드는 계획적 지출에 도움을 주며 신용카드보다 덜 무의식적으로 사용을 하고 있었다. 넷째, 대학생의 재무관리 행동은 재무관리 태도에 비해 낮은 수준이 었으며 재무관리 태도 중 가장 취약한 부분은 재무관리 저축 및 미래계획이었고 재무관리 행동 중 가장 취약한 부분은 재무관리 의사결정이었다. 다섯째, 재무관리 의사결정 태도는 학년, 어머니 직업의 전문직/관리직 여부, 사용카드 종류가 통계적으로 유의한 변수로 나타났고 재무관리 행동 총점수의 회귀분석 결과 사회계열 전공, 공학계열 전공, 기숙사 거주, 사용카드 종류, 재무관리 태도 총점이 유의한 변수로 나타났다. The purpose of this study was to examine the current status of college students" credit cards and check card usage, and to find the factors that influence the usage of credit cards and check cards. Also, this paper identified what were financial management attitudes and behaviors according to personal characteristics, financial characteristics, and the type of cards used; using check cards only or using both credit cards and check cards. In order to fulfill the purpose of this study, a survey was done on 337 college students mostly living in Seoul by a self-administered questionnaire. Frequency analysis, Cronbach"s alpha, factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA analysis, multiple regression analysis were performed by SPSS windows 18 program. The major results from this study were as follows. First, according to different types of card used, distinctly different usage patterns were observed in the number of cards held, the number of cards mainly used, students" monthly expenses, who depends on a credit card statement, how many times credit cards were used, and bought items. Second, respondents recognized using check cards lead to planned spending and prevented unconscious spending. Third, this study showed that college students" financial management attitude level was higher than financial management behaviors. Fourth, in terms of factors exerting effects on the degree of financial decision-making attitudes, age, who had a working professional mother, type of card used were found to exert significant effects. As a result of studying the effects of financial management behavior, it was found that social science majors, engineering majors, living in dormitory, type of cards, financial management total scores were significant variable.
