        노인의 우울증과 일상생활동작능력의 관련성

        Purpose: We investigated the relationship of depression and the ability to engage in activities of daily living in the elderly. Methods: Subjects (n = 182) were 60 years or older and who attended the Senior College of Gimhae Senior Welfare Center. We collected data via a questionnaire, through a Self- recording method and through individual interviews. We collected data on personal and general characteristics, level of depression, and activities of daily living. Results: Among all subjects, 51.1% reported having depressionMild depression was reported by 29.7% (54 subjects), moderate depression by 13.2% (24 subjects), and severe depression by 8.2% (15 subjects). Activities of daily living, including walking, climbing stairs, standing from a chair and sitting on and using toilets, using a telephone, bathing, shopping, cleaning house, and managing money were significantly lower in elderly subjects who were depressed (p<0.05). The greater the level of depression, the less able they were to engage in activities of daily living. Conclusion: These findings may help us achieve early detection of depression in the elderly and provide mediated arbitration so that they can have better health condition and greater ability to engage in activities of daily living.

        한센 노인의 균형운동프로그램이 균형능력에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of improvement in the balance control ability of the elderly affected by Hansed's disease. We tried to compare the effects for the elderly affected by Hansen's disease with and without foot deformity. The subjects consisted of 19 patients 65 years old and older. They participated in a balance training program twice per week for 8 weeks. The following results were obtained from the training program : 1. There were significant improvements in static balance ability in one leg standing (OLS), dynamic balance ability in tandem walk (TW) and four square step (FSS)(p<.05). After traning, however, the difference became less significant. Also, there was not much difference between recipients with and without single-foot deformity in terms of OLS and FSS. The results of this study suggest that we need to provide training programs and rehabilitation services for the elderly affected by Hansed's disease suffering from nerve injury and disability. Furthermore, further research efforts should be made concerning rehabilitation to overcome various forms of disability.

        체간운동이 하지기능장애 한센노인의 균형능력에 미치는 영향

        Purpose:The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of trunk exercises on the balancing ability of elderly Hansen`s disease patients with lower extremity dysfunction. Method:A total of 24 elderly Hansen`s disease patients were divided into two groups: 10 without lower extremity dysfunction and 14 with lower extremity dysfunction. The groups exercised for 60 minutes, two days a week, for a total 12 weeks; balancing ability was measured with the one leg standing test, tandem walking test, and timed up-and-go test. The patients were tested and their results were compared both before and after the completion of their exercise programs. Lower extremity dysfunction was assessed according to the following criteria: unilateral foot-drop, toe-loss, and below-knee amputation. Results:After the exercises, participants in both groups showed a positive, statistically significant difference in balance, compared with before the exercises (the one leg standing test, tandem walking test, and timed up-and-go test; p<05). For comparison purposes, the group with dysfunction and the group without dysfunction were tested before and after the completion of their exercises. Before the exercises, there was a statistically significant difference in the one leg standing test, tandem walking test, and timed up-and-go test (p<.05). However, after the exercises, there was no significant difference in the one leg standing test, tandem walking test, and timed up-and-go test (p>.05). Conclusion:Ultimately, balancing ability was improved in both of the groups after trunk exercises were performed. Although balancing ability was improved, elements of lower extremity dysfunction remained, such as unilateral foot-drop, toe-loss, and below-knee amputation.

        동물매개치료가 자폐스펙트럼장애아동의 대인관계, 언어 및 행동에 미치는 사례연구

        This study is a single case study that analyzed the effects of animal-assisted therapy (AAT) on a 5-years-old male child diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder class II. To verify the analysis, the Korean Childhood Autism Rating Scale Second Edition (K-SCAR 2), which measures the degree of autism, and the EHWA – Check List for Autistic Children (E-CLAC) scale, which is a behavioral development evaluation scale, were used. The AAT program consisted of a total of 12 sessions, for 50 minutes per session, and was carried out once a week for 12 weeks. As a result of the therapy, the autistic child showed increases in the frequency of word use along with increased language use and behavioral interactions. A K-SCAR 2 test was carried out and the results indicated that the child’s autistic condition had improved from severe autism to moderate autism bordering on minor autism. The E-CLAC indicated that the ability of the child to socially interact had improved as his human relationships were improved and the frequency of language use had increased. In conclusion, the results of this experiment indicated that when AAT was implemented with a child with autism spectrum disorder, the level of autism was lowered, while his human relationships improved as well as his language and use behavioral interactions.

        심리운동이 지적장애 고등학생의 사회적 기술에 미치는 효과

        본 연구는 심리운동의 사회 경험적 놀이가 지적장애를 가진 고등학생의 사회적 기술에 미치는 영향을 검증하고자 하였으며, 특히 사회적 기술 중 ‘협동하기’, ‘자기주장하기’, ‘자아통제하기’에 미치는 효과에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울특별시에 위치한 C고등학교에 다니고 있는 지적장애 고등학생 중 사회적 능력에 어려움을 보이고 지적장애 이외에 다른 장애를 가지고 있지 않는 7명의 학생을 선별하여 진행하였다. 본 연구는 2014년 4월부터 5월말까지 주 3∼4회, 1회기당 50분씩, 총 5주 14회기에 걸쳐 프로그램을 실시하였으며, 심리운동 중재 프로그램에 모집된 학생을 대상으로 K-WISC-Ⅳ, 사회성숙도 검사로 선별검사를 실시하였고, 선별된 학생을 대상으로 사회기술평가 척도(K-SSRS)를 실시하였다. 연구 설계는 단일집단 사전-사후 설계(one-group pretest- posttest design)로 심리운동의 효과성을 검증하였으며, 자료처리 방법으로는 수집된 자료를 비모수 검정 윌콕슨(Wilcoxon) 부호순위 검정으로 유의수준을 .05이하로 검정하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 심리운동 놀이 프로그램은 지적장애 고등학생의 협동하기 능력 향상에 긍정적인 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 심리운동 놀이 프로그램은 지적장애 고등학생의 자기주장하기 능력 향상에 긍정적인 영향이 있는 것을 나타났다. 셋째, 심리운동 놀이 프로그램은 지적장애 고등학생의 자아 통제하기 능력 향상에 긍정적인 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 위의 결과들을 통하여 심리운동 프로그램이 지적장애 고등학생의 사회적 기술 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 결론적으로 연구결과에 나타났듯이 Parten의 사회성 발달에 따른 놀이유형 이론에 입각하여 학생들 개개인의 현 수준을 고려하여 구체적이고 집중적인 심리운동 프로그램은 지적장애 고등학생들의 사회적 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 중재 프로그램이라 할 수 있다. This study attempted to investigate the effect of social experiential game on the social skill, particularly, ‘cooperating’, ‘self-asserting’, and ‘self-controlling’, of high school students who have the Intellectual Disability. To examine this study, seven high school students who have nothing but Intellectual Disability and difficulty in social competence were selected. This study was conducted total of fourteen times for five weeks, three to four times a week, fifty minutes per one time, from April to the end of May. Also, screening inspection with K-WISC-IV and K-SMS was conducted, aimed at students who were collected by the psychomotorik intervention program, and then K-SSRS was conducted, aimed at selected ones by screening inspection. For the design of this study, the effects of psychomotorik were examined through one-group pretest-posttest design, and for the data analysis, the collected data was examined with Wilcoxon(p<.05). The first result of this study was that the psychomotorik game program has positive impacts on cooperation ability of high school students who have Intellectual Disability. The second result was that psychomotorik play program has positive impacts on self-asserting ability of high school students who have Intellectual Disability. The third one was that psychomotorik game program has positive impacts on self-control ability of high school students who have Intellectual Disability. From the results, it was revealed that the psychomotorik game program had positive impacts upon improving the social skill. Above all, as revealed by the results, the concrete and intensive psychomotorik game program would be an arbitration program which could improve social competence of high school students who have Intellectual Disability, grounded on the theory of play pattern according to the sociality development by Parten.

        체간안정화 운동프로그램이 한센병력노인의 발바닥 감각상태에 따른 정적,동적 균형에 미치는 영향

        This study was to investigate the positive effects of specially designed trunk-stabilization exercise program on lower extremity balance of elderly with history of leprosy. In this participants, lower extremity functions has been undermined by the development of damage in peripheral nerves. A total of 40 elderly with history of leprosy were divided into 2 groups of equal size (n1, 2=20): a group that participated in the exercise program, and a control group that did not exercise but did continue to engage in normal daily activities (including walking). The exercise group exercised for 60 minutes 2 days a week for 12 weeks. Static balance ability was measured by asking study participants to a one leg standing test: dynamic balancing ability was measured with a tandem walking test and a timed up-and-go test. The participants in the exercise program and the control group were tested before and after completion of the exercise program for comparison, and then divided according to their ability to feel sensory in the soles of their feet into the categories of normal sensory group: group with sensory loss in one foot: and group with sensory loss in both feet. The participants in the exercise program showed a positive, statistically significant difference in static balance compared with the control group (p<.05) as measured using the one leg standing test. Similarly, the participants in dynamic balance (p<.05) as measured using the tandem walking and timed up-and-go tests. Finally, these improvements were related to the severity of sensory loss in the soles of the feet for all study participants.

        한센노인의 체간운동이 슬관절 굽힘,폄 동작의 최대수축 시근피로도에 미치는 영향

        This study was to investigate the change of muscle fatigue through maximum contraction during flexion and extension of knee joint before and after the isometric trunk exercise was implemented on elderly Hansen`s disease. 18 subjects exercised for 60 minutes twice a week for 12 weeks. The subjects were divided into normal sensory group, group with sensory loss in left sole, group with sensory loss in right sole, and group with sensory loss in both soles, according to the sensory condition on their soles. We obtained following results. Muscle fatigue in normal sensory group, there were significant differences in left·right hamstring, left rectus femoris(p<.05), in group with sensory loss in left sole, there were significant differences in left·right hamstring(p<.05), in group with sensory loss in right sole, there were significant differences in left·right hamstring, right rectus femoris and group with sensory loss in both sole, there were significant differences in right hamstring(p<.05). The differences of muscle fatigue according to the sensory condition on their soles, there were significant differences in left hamstring between normal sensory group and group with sensory loss in both sole(p<.05).

        암환자 심리에 대한 예비적 연구

        This is a preliminary study of cancer patients' attitude. 56 patients who were treated at the radiotherapy center were asked about their emotional responses during diagnostic and therapeutic course. Almost all patients wanted to be told they had cancer. Patients who did not want to be told were mainly those without any religion. When the patients were informed of their diagnosis, they showed denial and acute emotional turmoil intitially. Patents with lower level education showed less emotional response. More than half of the patients suffered emotionally and physically from the treatment procedures. But they were more concerned about financial burden than their emotional suffering. Physicians were found to be important for patients' emotional well being ; majority of patients wanted to be told about the prognosis by their physicians ; patients who were told of the prognosis by their physicians showed positive attitude toward the future more frequently. The kind of religion a patient had did not influence the coping abilities of the person in any significant way.
