As a pioneering company who entered new era of brand marketing in the domestic housing development market, Construction Division of Samsung Corporation achieved enormous business performance with the brand asset at the short time period. For the great success, they tried to apply customer's value into marketing mix strategy thoroughly, and created new trend of brand marketing strategy in the field. This case deals with the Samsung Corporation's efforts mainly focused on Raemian's brand marketing strategy to build the best powerful brand, and shows which are the key success factors, and suggest strategic implications to succeed in the long run.

Ever since Parkland corporation went into domestic men's fashion market with his own brand 'Parkland' in 1988, the company accomplished enormous sales increase compared to competitors and attained steadfast positioning as a leading brand with competence. This case study deals with the parkland's systematic efforts mainly focused on integrated business innovation such as production, distribution, and management innovation, and shows Parkland's differentiated marketing strategy which leads to outstanding business performance. And, strategic implications to succeed in the long run are followed. 1988년 이래 국내 남성복 시장에서 자사 브랜드인 파크랜드를 통해 내수 사업을 전개해온 ㈜파크랜드는 기업 특유의 경영혁신적 사고에 의거하여 생산혁신, 유통혁신, 관리혁신을 구현하고 차별적인 마케팅전략을 추진함으로써 국내 신사복 시장의 대표 브랜드로서의 괄목할만한 경영성과를 이룰 수 있었다. 본 사례는 파크랜드의 성공적인 포지셔닝을 위해 기울인 통합적이고 체계적인 노력에 대해 생산혁신, 유통혁신, 관리혁신 등 전사적 경영혁신을 중심으로 소개하고, 이에 따른 차별적인 마케팅전략을 경영성과와 함께 살펴본 후, 파크랜드의 장기적 발전을 위한 전략적 과제를 제시하고 있다.

Although Lovett et al. (2013) demonstrated that brand characteristics simulate word-of-mouth (WOM) as WOM antecedents, there has been relatively little attention to understanding a moderating role of brand characteristics between WOM and consumers’ attitudes toward brands. Understanding the role of brand characteristics in WOM is critical for marketers and marketing scholars to maximize the impact of WOM in branding activities. The current study aims to fill this gap by examining the role of brand characteristics as a moderator between the WOM valence and consumers’ attitudes toward co-brands. The results revealed that with co-brand characteristics highly related to the social and emotional drivers, the favorable effect of positive WOM on consumers’ attitudes was signifi cantly higher than that with cobrand characteristics less related to the social and emotional drivers. On the other hand, with co-brand characteristics less related to the social and emotional drivers, the negative effect of negative WOM on consumer’s attitude was significantly higher than that with cobrand characteristics highly related to the social and emotional drivers. The results indicate that marketers should make efforts to impress consumers by developing and emphasizing new co-brand characteristics associated with the social and emotional drivers.
