경찰공무원의 직무스트레스가 직무만족에 미치는 영향

그동안 경찰공무원들을 대상으로 직무스트레스가 조직성과 등에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구가 다수 진행되어왔지만 특정지역에 국한된 경우가 많고 전국의 경찰공무원을 대상으로 한 연구는 많지 않았다. 따라서 이에 대한 분석결과는 일반화 측면에서는 제한적이라 할 수 있다. 특히 직무스트레스에 따른 직무만족의 부정적인 효과를 개선하기 위한 사회적 지지에 대한 연구는 매우 드물다. 이에 본 연구에서는 전국의 경찰공무원들을 대상으로 직무스트레스가 직무만족에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 살펴봄으로써 선행연구의 한계를 극복하고 분석결과의 외적타당성을 높이고자 하였다. 또한 직무스트레스와 직무만족 간의 관계에서 상사, 동료와의 관계 및 시민들의 지지가 어떤 영향을 미치는지도 추가로 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 분석결과에 따르면 직무스트레스는 직무만족에 유의미하게 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 그리고 사회적 지지는 시민들로부터의 지지만 유의미하게 직무만족을 증가시키는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 경찰관의 직무스트레스가 조직성과에 부정적인 영향을 미친다는 기존의 선행연구들과 동일한 결과를 제시해주고 있다. 하지만 선행연구에서 다루지 않았던 긍정적 요소로서 사회적 지지 요인을 추가적으로 살펴봄으로써 경찰관의 직무스트레스와 직무만족 간의 관계에 있어서 분석의 틀을 확장시키고 있다. 구체적으로 상사나 동료 간의 관계적인 측면보다는 조직외부의 시민들로부터의 지지가 스트레스에 따른 직무만족의 부정적인 효과를 감소시키는 요인이라는 결과가 나타났다. 즉 사회적 지지로서 시민들로부터의 지지가 경찰공무원들의 업무수행에 있어서 매우 중요한 요인이 될 수 있다는 것을 의미하며, 이와 관련하여 본 연구에서는 경찰조직의 운용에 있어서 유용한 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. Many studies on police officer’s stress and its results have been conducted. However, most of them have only focused on specific regions or sub-groups. Therefore, results of former studies have limitations in terms of generalization and external validity. In specific, little research has focused on the moderating effect of social support in the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction. This study attempts to overcome prior studies’ limitations by using representative sample and examine the impact of police officer’s job stress on job satisfaction. In addition, this study examines moderating effects of the relationship with superior/co-workers, and citizen support in the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction. Results show that job satisfaction has a negative impact on job satisfaction. Among the social support factors, only citizen support has a positive and statistically significant effect on job satisfaction. This supports results of other studies that suggest a negative effect of job stress on job satisfaction. In particular, this study expands analytical frameworks of job stress and job satisfaction by exploring the positive impact of social support factors. More specifically, citizen support rather than relationship with superior/co-workers has a more significant effect which mitigates the negative effect of stress on job satisfaction. Overall results suggest that stress should be considered as an important factor in management and citizen support can help police officers’ performance by mitigating a negative effect of stress. Implications for police manager’s are suggested in the discussion.

스마트폰 중독이 청소년들과 성인들의 정신건강에 미치는 영향

스마트기기 등의 확산은 우리사회에서 많은 변화와 편리함을 제시해주고 있다. 그러나 이런 스마트시대에서 스마트폰 중독에 따른 부작용 등의 위험적인 요소들이 발생하고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 스마트 사회에서의 위험요소 등에 대한 고려는 아직 부족한 편이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 스마트시대의 대표적인 위험사회 현상인 스마트폰 중독이 청소년들과 성인들의 정신건강에 미친 영향을 살펴보고 있다. 또한 사회적 지지로서의 가족의 지지가 스마트폰 중독에 따른 정신건강 상태를 개선시키는 조절변수로서의 역할을 담당하는지를 추가적으로 살펴보고 있다. 본 연구의 분석결과에 의하면 스마트폰 중독은 청소년층과 성인층의 정신건강에 유의미하게 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 그리고 가족의 지지는 청소년층에서만 유의미하게 스마트폰 중독에 따른 정신건강의 부정적인 영향을 감소시키는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 이런 본 연구의 분석결과는 스마트폰 중독에 따른 정신건강 문제에 대한 연구가 청소년층에게만 한정할 것이 아니라 성인층에게까지 확대되어야 할 필요성을 제시해주고 있다. 그리고 앞으로 스마트폰 중독에 따른 정신건강 문제를 해결하기 위한 접근법이 청소년층과 성인층의 특성을 고려해야 한다는 것에 대한 시사점을 제시해주고 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다. Although numerous studies have examined the factors that cause smartphone addiction, few studies have analyzed the effects of smartphone addiction on the mental health of different age groups. Thus, this study tests the effects of smartphone addiction on the mental health of two different age groups - adolescents and adults. Also, this paper analyzes the respective moderating effect that family support has on the improvement of mental health of these two groups. Using the 2013 National Information Society Agency data, this study finds that smartphone addiction has negative effects on the mental health of adults as well as youths. Nevertheless, family support only has positive effects on the improvement of youth smartphone-addict’s mental health, but no significantly positive effects on adult smartphone-addicts. The results of this study suggest that research on the mental effect of smartphone addiction must take into account adult group as well as youths. Also, future studies on smartphone addiction should take age(developmental stage) factor into consideration for thorough examination of the relationship between smartphone addiction and mental health of its addicts.

동영상의 시간적 블록기반 영상분할 알고리즘

For the object-based video compression at very low bit rate, vieo segmentation is an essential part. In this paper, we propose a temporal video segmentation algorithms for motion pictures which is based on blocks. The algorithm is composed of three steps: (1) the change-detection, (2) the block merging, and (3) the block segmentation. The first step separates the change-detected region from background. Here, a new method for removing the uncovered region without motion estimation is presented. The second step, which is further divided into three substeps, estimates motions for the change-detected region and merges blocks with similar motions. The merging conditions for each substep as criteria are also given. The final step, the block segmentation, segments the boundary block that is excluded from the second step on a pixel basis. After describing our algorithm in detail, several experimental results along the processing order are shown step by step. The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm removes the uncovered region effectively and produced objects that are segmented well.

메타버스 환경에서 지식 그래프 기반 AI 챗봇을 이용한 민원 서비스 구현 및 최적화

자연어 처리(NLP;Natural Language Processing) 기술은 다양한 분야에서 인간의 언어를 이해하고 처리하는데 활용되고 있다. 이러한 기술은 요약, 텍스트 생성, 번역, 질의응답, 토픽 모델링 등 다양한 응용 분야에서 연구되고 있으며, 특히 챗봇에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 챗봇은 인공지능 기술을 활용하여 사용자와 대화 및 상호작용을 목적으로 개발되었으며, 교육, 산업, 비지니스 등 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 하지만 기존의 챗봇 모델은 사용자의 질문에 대한 답변 제공 시 의도와 다른 답변이나 정확하지 않은 답변을 도출한다는 한계가 존재한다. 이에 지식 그래프(Knowledge Graph)를 활용하여 사용자의 질문에 대한 답변을 빠르고 정확하게 제공하기 위한 챗봇 모델을 설계했다. 기존 인터넷 민원 서비스는 상담을 위해 접수 후 7일이라는 시간 소요가 발생하는데 본 연구에서 제안된 챗봇 모델은 메타버스 가상공간 내에서 행정 민원 서비스를 처리 할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 특정 도메인인 행정민원 서비스에서 지식 그래프를 활용한 AI 기반 챗봇 모델의 활용 가능성을 제시한다. Natural language processing (NLP) technology is used to understand and process human language in various fields. These technologies are being studied in various applications, such as summarization, text generation, translation, question answering, topic modeling, etc. In particular, interest in chatbots is increasing. Chatbots were developed for the purpose of conversation and interaction with users using artificial intelligence (AI) technology and are used in various fields, such as education, industry, and business. However, chatbot models have had limitations in that they derive answers that are different from the intended answers or are inaccurate when providing answers to user questions. Accordingly, a chatbot model was designed to quickly and accurately provide answers to users questions by utilizing a knowledge graph. Current internet services for civil complaints take 7 days to respond after a request for consultation, but the chatbot model proposed in this study is designed to handle administrative civil complaint services within the metabus virtual space. This study suggests the possibility of using an AI-based chatbot model and a knowledge graph in the specific domain of administrative civil service.

화소 간축과 블록의 MAD를 이용한 고속 적응 블록 정합 기법

We propose a fast block matching technique that adaptively limits searching depth using the value of MAD and the adjustment of the number of searching points by pixel decimation when estimating motions in the field of video compression. The underlying schemes of the proposed technique are the three step searching(TSS) scheme, pixel decimation, and the MAD as block matching criterion. In block matching schemes, the picture quality is proportional to the number of searching points that are used in estimating block motions. It also enhances the quality by increasing the points to be searched, because the probability of falling into the local minima can be decreased compared to the TSS scheme. The increasing computational complexity, proportional to the increased searching points, is reduced by introducing the pixel decimation method. Moreover, we can reduce the amount of computation by determining the search depth using the block MAD. With the proposed algorithm, we performed a lot of simulation for the various MPEG video data. As a consequence, it can improve the picture quality while reducing the amount of computation involved comparing to the TSS scheme.
