Self-tuning control algorithms for an input-amplitude constrained system are developed and implemented. Magnitude of control input for small motors is generally restricted to narrow bound due to actuator saturation. The gain-adjusted control algorithm and the bounded-gain control algorithm proposed in this study yield smoother control input variations within the magnitude constraints comparing with the existing Clarke's suboptimal control algorithm. In the gain-adjusted control algorithm, the feedforward gain is adjusted using maximum gain, while in the bounded-gain control algorithm, the feedforward gain is bounded using weighting factor. For the DC servo motor control, the system performances of the proposed algorithms are compared with those of the existing algorithm by computer simulation and experiment. It is shown that the input variations of the proposed algorithms are smoother as compared with the existing algorithm.

본 논문에서는 펌프가 동시에 전원차단 되었을 때 송출밸브의 운전조건(개도, 폐쇄속도), 계통의 기하학적 형상(취수 및 배수관로의 길이, 단면적, 재질, 콘덴서의 높이등)과 해면상태(간막의 차에 의한 수위, 파도)의 변화가 계통내 수격현상에 미치 는 영향에 대하여 수치해석 하였다. Water hammering in nuclear or thermal power plant condenser cooling water systems in mathematically modeled and numerically analyzed based on the method of characteristics. Effects of variations of the discharge valve operating condition and the system geometry on the hydraulic transients are investigated for the cases when all or one of four pumps are tripped accidently due to loss of offisite power. Effects of ocean waves and tides on the steady-state and the transient operations are also studied. Water column separation in taken into account whenever necessary by means of a simplified physical model.
유압 위치제어 시스템의 단속적 제어방식에 관한 연구 II

본 연구에서는 형태와 특성이 다른 솔레노이드 밸브를 사용한 위치제어 시스 템에 위에서 언급한 두가지 단속적 제어 방법을 적용하여 이들 밸브의 형태와 특성이 시스템의 응답특성에 미치는 영향을 실험적으로 규명하고 실린더 내의 압력 변화에 미 치는 영향도 조사하였다. It has recently shown that a solenoid valve can be utilized in a hydraulic position-control system by discontinuous control methods. The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of solenoid valves on the response characteristics of a hydraulic position-control system by applying two kinds of discontinuous control methods i.e., Simple On-Off(SOF) and Pulsating On-Off(POF) controls. Three types of solenoid valves i.e., low-frequency, closed-center type(LF/C), low-frequency, tandem-center type(LF/T) were used in this study. Effects of loading conditions and control parameters on the response characteristics were experimentally examined and compared each other. Pressure transients within the actuator were also studied.
유압 위치제어 시스템의 단속적 제어방법에 관한 연구 I

본 연구에서는 솔레노이드 밸브를 사용한 유압위치제어 시스템에 위에서 언급 한 두가지 단속적 제어 방법을 적용하여 각각의 제어변수들과 부하조건이 시스템의 시 간 영역에서의 응답특성에 미치는 영향을 실험적으로 규명하고 각각의 제어특성을 비 교 고찰하였다. Two kinds of discontinuous control methods i, e., simple on-off(SOF) control and pulsating on-off(POF) control methods are implemented and compared each other for a low cast hydraulic position-control system which utilizes a solenoid-operated directional valve instead of a servovalve. Experimental work was carried out to investigate effects of control parameters and loading conditions on step response characteristics of the system for each control method. The results show that much higher accuracy and much better transient response characteristics can be achieved by POF controller than those by SOF controller. The results may be used as basic data in the selection of control parameters as well as in the design of the hydraulic position-control system.
