Neoplastic meningitis is a relatively rare, but serious late-stage complication of brain metastasis from systemic cancer. A 37-year-old woman presented with complaints of altered mentation, nausea and vomiting. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging of brain revealed a patchy enhancement with gadolinium contrast of leptomeninges over the cerebral convexities and in basilar cistern, insulae, all the recesses, and ventricular walls. By neuroendoscopy, we performed third ventriculostomy and biopsy of pineal mass, which revealed a histopathologically-pure pineocytoma. The unexpected observation of cells floating in the ventricle was consistent with adenocarcinoma. In systemic work up, Cancer Antigen (CA) 15-3 was markedly increased in serum, and multiple enhanced masses were found in the breast, lung, axial lymph node, and vertebrae on positron emission tomography-CT. Ultrasonography-guided biopsy of breast mass suggested poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma. Herein, we report a rare case of neoplastic meningitis of breast cancer in the patients with a pineocytoma.

As the regulations for Particulate Matter (PM) and Particle Number (PN) emissions from Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) Vehicle stringent recently, a lot of studies have been made on the emission characteristics of PM and PN. In this study, PM and PN emission characteristics were compared to GDI and Multi Port Injection (MPI) Vehicles using the Condensation Particle Counter (CPC) measurement equipment. And driving mode is divided into normal driving mode (CVS-75, NEDC, NIER 6, NIER 9) and a constant speed driving mode (10 km/h, 35 km/h, 80 km/h, 110 km/h) to evaluate the characteristics in the various operating conditions. In the results, most of the driving mode, PM and PN were emitted from GDI Vehicle more than MPI Vehicle. However, in the constant speed mode of 110 km/h, PM and PN from MPI Vehicle were also a lot of emission. It is determined to cause a difficulty in the fuel injection control of the MPI Vehicle.

In this study, PM and PN emission characteristics of GDI vehicles were compared to MPI vehicles using the Condensation Particle Counter (CPC) measurement equipment. In addition, driving modes were divided into normal driving mode (CVS-75, NEDC, NIER 6, NIER 9) and a constant speed driving mode (10km/h, 35km/h, 80km/h, 110km/h) to evaluate the characteristics in the various operating conditions. In the results, most of the driving mode, PM and PN from GDI vehicle were higher than those of MPI vehicle. However, in the constant speed modes of 110km/h, PM and PN from MPI vehicle were as high as those of GDI vehicles. It is believed that less accurate fuel injection of the MPI vehicle causes higher PM and PN emissions at high velocity.
