최근 PCM과 같은 비휘발성 메모리의 집적도의 급속한 향상과 함께 향후 고속의 바이트 단위의 접근이 가능한 스토리지 시스템이 등장할 것으로 예측되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 PCM 기반의 스토리지 시스템을 위한 저널링 파일시스템을 설계하였다. 하드디스크나 플래시 메모리와는 다른 PCM의 특성을 고려하여 현재의 저널링 파일시스템과 동일한 파일시스템 일관성을 제공하되 더 나은 성능을 보여주는 저널링 파일시스템을 설계하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통한 실험 결과는 제안된 저널링 파일시스템이 ext3 등의 기존 저널링 파일시스템보다 평균 59%의 쓰기량을 감소시켰음을 보여주었다.
전자키트 Makey Makey를 활용한 교육이 유아의 과학적 소양에 미치는 영향

전자키트 Makey Makey는 최근 미국 MIT Media Lab에서 개발한 전자교구로서 현대사회가 요구하는 과학적 소양의 배양을 위한 교육도구로 주목받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 Makey Makey 활용 교육의 효과를 실증적으로 검증하고자 과학적 소양인, 과학적 탐구 태도, 과학적 문제해결력, 과학 지식을 학습 성과 변인으로 상정하고, Makey Makey 활용 교육 전후에 학습 성과의 향상의 증거가 보이는지 확인하였다. 또한 이에 대한 상보성을 획득하기 위하여 유아 관찰 및 담임교사 면담을 통하여 이들의 변화 과정을 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 유아 24명을 대상으로 Makey Makey 활용 교육을 8주에 걸쳐 8차 시 실시하여, 대응표본 t검정으로 사전-사후 변화를 분석하고, 관찰자료 및 면담 결과를 질적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 과학적 탐구 태도, 과학적 문제해결력, 과학 지식 변인 모두 Makey Makey 활용 교육후에 통계적으로 유의미한 향상을 보였으며, 연구 대상자들의 진술을 바탕으로 이러한 변화의 추의를 더욱 풍부하게 이해하고 기술할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 유아교육 환경에서 Makey Makey 활용 교육의 가능성을 실증적으로 확인하였으며, Makey Makey 활용 교육을 활성화하기 위한 교육전략의 제안 및 교육환경의 구축 방향을 제안하였다. Makey Makey is an electronic kit that was recently developed by MIT Media Lab, and has drawn attention as an electronic education kit for fostering scientific literary required by today’s society. In this study, in order to empirically verify the effects of education utilizing Makey Makey, scientific inquiry attitude, scientific problem-solving ability, and scientific knowledge, in scientific literary, were set as learning outcome variables, and evidence of improvement in learning outcome after providing education utilizing Makey Makey was examined. Also, in order to find relevant complementarity, the change process was investigated based on observation of students and interview with the teacher. For the study, 24 young children received education utilizing Makey Makey in eight class sessions over eight weeks. And then, the pretest-posttest change was analyzed by using paired t-test, and the observation and interview results were qualitatively analyzed. The result shows that all of the variables, i.e., scientific inquiry attitude, scientific problem-solving ability, and scientific knowledge showed statistically significant improvement after education utilizing Makey Makey, and, based on the statements of the subjects, the relevant changes were understood and explained in-depth. The findings in this study empirically demonstrated the possibilities of preschool education utilizing Makey Makey. Also, this study proposed educational strategies and environment to activate education utilizing Makey Makey and foster scientific literacy.
대중교통 서비스 개선을 위한 서울시 출근통행의 질 평가

The objectives of this Study are to evaluate the quality of public transport commuting and identify new directions of public transport service improvements. The research was based on survey results of public transport commuters in three downtowns(CBD, two subcenters:Gangnam and Yeoido) of Seoul. Significant survey results are summerized in the following. Current congestion levels of bus and subway are 94.5% and 140.5% respectively. On the other hand, acceptable congestion levels of bus and subway are 50.0% and 60.6%. [그림본문참조] The most important factors for the choice of public transport in order to commute are ‘total travel time’ and ‘access time’ which are determined by the choices of residential and work place. However, the most inconvenient factors are ‘waiting time’ and ‘transfer time’ because these two factors are determined by the quality level of government service. [그림본문참조] A public transport happiness index was created in order to evaluate the quality of public transport commuting. The index consist of two groups of factors. The first quantitative group reflects differences of current and acceptable level for access time, waiting time, transfer time, total travel time and congestion. The second qualitative group reflects inconvenience score for the other factors which are noise, fare, available seats, wireless communication service(wifi), kindness of drivers, comfortableness and convenient facilities. The individual importance score for the factors was used as a weight. The average public transport happiness index for downtown commuters in Seoul is 71.3. Male, less frequent transfers and short commuting distance impact on higher happinessindex. A sensitivity analysis of public transport happiness index assumed an acceptable level of each factor. The results showed that ‘transfer time’ was the most effective factor. [그림본문참조]
간호사의 유방자가검진(Breast Self-Examination)에 관한 지식, 태도,실천에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to investigate knowledge, attitudes and practices of nurses toward breast self-examination(BSE) and to identify factors that may associate compliance with breast self examination. The subjects for this study were 277 nurses in 8 university hospitals in Pusan. Data were collected during the period from September 21 to October 20,2001 by means of a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA using SPSS program. The results of study were as follows: 1.The mean knowledge score for the total sample was 22.94±0.39. The mean attitude score for the total sample was 3.44 ±0.31. The mean practice score for the total sample was 7.25±4.62 2.There were significant associations between the score on nurses knowledge of BSE and education level(F=6.752,P=0.01). There were not significant associations between the score on nurses attitude of BSE and general factors (P>0.05). There were significant associations between the score on nurses self practice of BSE and age (F=2.734,P=0.044),and merital status(t=-2.598, P=0.010). 3.There were significant associations between the score on nurses knowledge of BSE and exercise for health (t=2.259, P= 0.024), frequency of performance in BSE(F-6.641, P=0.000), confidence in knowledge of BSE technique(F=5.661, P=0.000), confidence in finding breast nodule(F= 7.684,PO.OOO). There were not significant associations between the score on nurses attitude of BSE and BSE relating factors( P>0.05). There were significant associations between the score on nurses self-practice of BSE and exercise for health (t=2.269,P= 0.024), enlisting the help of significant peers (t= 3.393,P= O.OOl),frequency of performance in BSE(F= 13.932,P= O.OOO), confidence in knowledge of BSE technique(F=5.350, P=0.000), confidence in finding breast nodule(F= 7.204 ,P=0.000),asking clients of BSE, ( t= 3.153, P=0.011) In conclusion, The level of nurses knowledge of BSE was high score, The nurses attitude about BSE was positive, The level of nurses self practice of BSE was low. Therefore, It is necessary to develop the nurses educational program for BSE with its focus on associating factors of compliance of BSE.
