A spark ignition engine was used to correct engine combustion chamber deposit(C.C.D.), intake valve deposit(I.V.D.), and piston top deposit(P.T.D.). In this study, the effect of gasoline additive on I.V.D. was investigated. Compared with base gasoline and additive mixed gasoline showed a remarkable deposit-forming tendency. And an test procedure has been developed employing a 1.5L P.F.I. (port fuel injection) engine on an engine dynamometer.<br/>
P/C 렌즈 前照燈 렌즈면의 溫度分布에 관한 實驗的 硏究

Glass is bing gradually replaced by P/C for the lens material of a vehicle headlamp due to the weight reduction and stream lined body of a vehicle. With this trend the newly established standards for a headlamp with a P/C lens in Europe requires that the heat generated by a bulb should not distort the lens surface. Also the requirements for the bulb of a headlamp are being enforced in U.S. & Europe. However, such requirements are not established yet in Korea, In this paper, the temperature distribution on the lens surface of a headlamp were experimentally studied.<br/> By using three kinds (60/55W, 100/90W, 130/90W) of H4 halogen bulbs in this experiment the temperature distribution and Max, temperature on the lens were measured. The results of this study implies the necessity of requirements of the bulb of a headlamp.<br/>

It is important at the vehicle planning stage to be able to estimate the amount of heat that maybe released to the engine coolant in the cooling system. In this study, author measured coolant temperature of some parts and flow rate which we necessary to analysis of thermal flow in an engine cooling system. Therefore, author determined parameters necessary for the optimum condition of cooling control to keep the heat engine performance.<br/>

It is widely recognized that exhaust emissions,fuel economy and engine torque are affected by the coolant temperature of the engine, and logic would suggest that a cooling system offering a better compromise of coolant temperature of the engine would improve both overall engine power and economy. Coolant temperature and intake air temperature near cooling parts is measured CAMS(Computer Aided Measuring System) with K-type thermocouple and A/D converter.
직접 분사식 연료 분무에서의 기 , 액상 분리 계측에 관한 연구

For this research an extension of the LIF technique that the LIEF(Laser Induced Exciplex Fluorescence) technique has been used LIEF technique is the unique method to allows the visualization of fuel vapor phase and liquid phase individually by capturing each signals of them. In this work, performed that the basic procedure for advanced LIEF technique using TEA and benzene as dopants and high power KrF excimer laser to excite the dopants. Iso-octane is used as the fuel because it does not absorb light at the laser wavelength. The boiling point of benzene and TEA are 81'C and 89'C, respectively, in comparison to 99℃ for iso-octane. It is observed that the behavior and distribution of high pressed fuel ir~jection from various test condition. The injection pressure is set as 3㎫. and 5㎫. And the ambient pressure of test chamber is atmospheric pressure and 1㎫, the ambient temperature of chamber is room temperature, 300℃ and 500℃ to imitate the condition of GDI engine cylinder.
