Juvenile onset ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic inflammatory arthritis showing oligoarthritis and enthesopathy of the peripheral and axial skeleton. This have been shown to have different clinical presentation and outcome from adult onset ankylosing spondylitis. Takayasu arteritis is a uncommon, chronic inflammatory disease of elastic arteries such as the aorta, its larger branches and the pulmonary artery trunk. Although, it has rare report about association between ankylosing spondylitis and Takayasu arteritis, there was no report of juvenile onset ankylosing spondylitis with Takayasu arteritis. Thereby, we report a patient with Takayasu arteritis who had juvenile onset ankylosing spondylitis in the course of his disease.
Mo-41Re 합금과 SiC 접합부의 고온 어닐링에 따른 계면반응

Interfacial reaction of metal-ceramic joints is of great interest because of their potential applicability to components operating in high-temperature environments. In this work, Mo-41Re alloy with sputter-deposited SiC coating was annealed at 1300~1500℃, and the reaction at the alloy/SiC interface was investigated. On annealing at 1500℃, the element Mo in the Mo-41Re alloy significantly diffused toward the SiC layer, reacted with SiC, and formed a MoC layer. The reaction resulted in the depletion of Mo in the alloy adjacent to the surface. A brittle σ-MoRe phase that was detrimental to joint reliability, formed at a depth of 10~20 μm from the alloy surface. After annealing at lower temperature (1300℃), the σ-MoRe phase was formed less deep (3~5 μm), but with higher density, in the alloy. The reaction at both temperatures additionally resulted in Mo silicides and voids at the interface.(Received July 11, 2014)

Sweet`s syndrome is an uncommon reactive dermatosis characterized by fever, poly-morphonuclear leukocytosis, painful erythematous cutaneous plaques and dense dermal infiltrate of neutrophils at the skin lesions. Unlike Sweet`s syndrome associated with patients with malignancies, autoimmune diseases, antecedent infectons-most commonly the upper respiratory infections, it is reported to be rarely associated with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Here we report a rare case of young female with Sweet`s syndrome and SLE presenting with high fever.

Recently, studies on user experience have become popular within the field of new product development, marketing, and information systems. Most of these studies on user experience hypothesize that user satisfaction is enhanced when users have good experience with a certain device or a system and that enhanced user satisfaction can explain and predict user loyalty effectively. However, since user experience is a broad concept which comprises both the cognitive and the affective elements, whether existing theoretical models of user satisfaction can accurately reflect user experience is questionable. Moreover, it is also not clear whether user satisfaction can effectively explain user loyalty. For example, user`s cognitive appraisal plays a major role in building up user satisfaction with the product; this means that user satisfaction model only focuses on the cognitive aspect of user experience. Thus, the existing theoretical models focusing on user satisfaction cannot reflect the emotional aspect of user experience. Moreover, user satisfaction can be developed even with only a short period of usage; therefore, user satisfaction cannot fully explain the whole aspect of user experience which is developed through the long-term interaction with the product. Moreover, since users who are only satisfied with the product can always move on when there is a better alternative, there is a limitation of maintaining and promoting user loyalty by merely enhancing user satisfaction. This study was conducted to overcome the limitations of such existing theoretical models of user satisfaction by including a new concept known as emotional attachment in order to complement theoretical and practical limitations of the current user satisfaction model. Emotional attachment is an emotional bond between a person and the specific object; this research hypothesizes that the concept of emotional attachment could overcome the limitations of the theoretical model focusing on user satisfaction. Such hypothesis is based on the research results which argue that emotional attachment is formed based on the affective experience through the long-term interaction with a certain object and that the person with emotional attachment toward the object is less likely to be influenced by the existence of more attractive alternatives. In this study, a new theoretical model of emotional attachment based on the perspective of user experience was developed through literature review and was theoretically expanded the user experience model by integrating the emotional attachment and the user satisfaction model. Survey studies have been conducted to empirically validate the theoretically integrated model with users of four digital products (cell phone, MP3 player, TV, and refrigerator). The survey results indicate that our integrated model does indeed explain the relationship between user experience and user Loyalty more faithfully than the existing models. This paper ends with certain limitations as well as implications of the study results.
너구리 담낭 섭취 후 Helicobacter heilmannii-like Organism으로 유발된 위궤양

Recently, there was growing interest in a gastric spiral-shaped bacterium morphologically deviating from Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), which was classified as Helicobacter heilmannii (H. heilmannii). It rarely inhabits human species whereas the observation of structurally comparable bacteria in other mammals, including cats and dogs, is a commonplace. Therefore, it is now generally recognized that H. heilmannii is an animal Helicobacter, which is occasionally transmitted to man. H. heilmannii is usually associated with chronic gastritis. Here, we described a case of gastric ulcer caused by spiral bacteria morphologically identical to H. heilmannii. The patient complained of epigastric pain over a two day period. He took the gallbldder of a wild raccoon dog 7 days before. Upper gastrointesinal endoscopy revealed multiple geographic gastric ulcers in the distal body and antrum. After eradication of another Helicobacter spp, H. heilmannii, the symptom resolved completely in 4 days. Eight weeks later, a follow-up endoscopy showed complete healing of the ulcer. Al-Zn-Mg-Cu-Zr 합금의 집합조직 발달과 기계적 특성에 미치는 Sc 첨가의 영향

The texture and mechanical properties during fabrication processes - extrusion, cold rolling and aging treatment - of plate in the 7050 Al alloys without/with 0.1%Sc were investigated. In both the cross section(CS) and longitudinal section(LS) of the specimen without Sc, after cold rolling, texture of R-fiber was predominant. In the Sc added alloy after cold rolling, {112}<111>(Cu)+weak (123)<634>(S) texture components developed in the CS of the specimen while strong (3-fiber+(110)<001>(Goss) components developed in the LS of the specimen. After solution treatment and aging treatment, the alloy (CS and LS) without Sc had random texture, but by the alloys with the 0.1%Sc, the components of the rolling texture are not changed. After the aging treatment, hardness and tensile strength of the alloy with 0.1%Sc increased about 15% and 17%, respectively, than those without Sc. Tensile strength of the Sc added specimen was the highest along the rolling direction where the <111> texture was strongly developed. On the other hand, in the specimen without Sc, the mechanical properties were not dependent on the direction of the sample. (Received May 3, 2004)
