Cord-rubber laminates are widely used in the construction of tires, belting. and horses. A fracture mechanics approach based on the rate at which strain energy is released by a growing crack has provided of considerable use in characterizing and understanding the strength properties of rubber vulcanizates that do not contain reinforcing cords. In this approach, the strain energy release per unit increase in the area of on fracture surface of a crack has been termed the "Tearing Energy". T._[1]<br/> This paper aims at investigating fatigue life when 2-ply cord-rubber laminate fails due to initiation and propagation of delamination.<br/>

In this study, the belt of the tire which is regarded as 2-Ply laminates composite. have been performed with the 3 dimensional FE(Finite Element) analysis, and it is considered of the result of shear stress and strain. This results have compared with the result of CLT(Classical Laminate Theory), and interlaminar shear strain in width direction has compared with the expressions of the Kelsey' s theory.<br/> In the analysis, the modeling of the cord hasn't been carried out with the fine element and rubber is assumed as linear elastic material. The cord-surrounding region is assumed as the orthotropic material composed of cord and rubber. the analysis has performed with 3 dimensional finite element<br/> In conclusion, it's known that imterlaminar shear strain which causes the interlaminar delamination the has the large value in the edge region of the laminates
