Titanium mesoporous materials have received increasing attention as a new photocatalyst in the field for photocatalytic degradation of organic compounds, The photocatalytic degradation of chlorothlonil by mesoporous titanium oxt-phosphate (Ti-MCM) was investigated in aqueous suspension for comparison with TiO₂ (Degussa, P25) using as an effective photocatalyst of organic pollutants. Mesoporous form of titanium phosphate has been prepared by reaction of sulfuric acid and titanium isopropoxide in the presence of n-hexadecy(trimethylammonium bromide. The XRD patterns of Ti-MCM are hexagonal phases with d-spacings of 4.1 nm. Its adsorption isotherm for chlorothalonil reached at reaction equilibrium within 60 min under dark condition with 28% degradation efficiency. The degradation ratio of chlorothalonil after 9 hours under the UV radiation condition (254 nm) exhibited 100% by TI-MCM and 88% by TiO₂. However, these degradation kinetics in static state showed a slow tendency compared to that of stirred state because of a low contact between titanium matrices and chlorothalonil. Also, degradation efficiency of chlorothalonil was increased with decreasing initial concentration and with increasing pH of solution. As results of this study, it was clear that mesoporous titanium oxo-phosphate with high surface area and crystallinity could be used to photocatalytic degradation of various organic pollutants.

<목적> 진행성 간세포암에서 간동맥색전술 후 국소재발 방지를 위한 방사선치료의 병합요법이 효과가 있다는 보고는 있으나, 크기가 작은 간암에서 이에 대한 연구는 많지 않다. 본 연자 등은 직경 3~5㎝ 크기의 단일 간세포암 환자에서 간동맥색전술 단독요법과 간동맥색전술 및 방사선치료 병합요법의 효과를 비교하였다. <방법> 2000년 4월부터 2003년 8월까지 연세의대 부속 세브란스 병원에 내원한 환자 중 직경 3~5㎝ 크기의 단일 간세포암 환자를 대상으로

The ichthyofauna and fish community of the Dongjin River system were surveyed at 21 sites from October 1998 to September 1999. We confirmed the presence of 53 species in 14 families belonging to seven orders. Thirty-two species of cyprinid fishes accounted for 60.4% of the total, four species of cobitid and gobiid fishes 7.5% of the total, and two species of bagrid and centrarchid fishes for 3.8% of the total. The dominant species in the Dongjin River system was Zacco platypus(relative abundant 26.0%), the subdominant species was Carassius auratus(14.7%). The dominant and subdominant species in each stream of the Dongjin River system were determined. In the Dongjin River, the dominant species was Z. platypus(40.6%), the subdominant Acheilognathus lanceolatus(20.5%); in Wonpyeong stream, Pseudorasbora parva(22.6%) and Hypomesus olidus(13.2%); in Gobu stream C. auratus(67.5%) and Cyprinnus carpio(15.4%). Fourteen of the 53 species from the the Dongjin River system comprised 28.6% of the total Korean endemic species; seven rare species accounted for less than 0.1% of the total. Four exotic fish species were found: Cyprinus carpio (Islaeli carp), Carassius cuvieri, Micropterus salmoides and Lepomis macrochirus. The species dominance, diversity, and evenness index of the fish community from the Wonpyeong stream were 0.12, 1.08, and 0.91, respectively, indicating better conditions than those of the Dongjin River and the Gobu stream. The fish community of the Wonpyeong stream showed closer relationship to that of the Dongjin River than to that of the Gobu stream.
한국산 Synaphobranchidae 과 어류 1 미기록종 , Dysomma anguillare

1996년 우리나라의 서해연안에서 채집된 뱀장어목 어류 1종을 동정한 결과 지금까지 우리나라에서는 서식이 확인되지 않았던 Synaphobranchidae과에 속하는 Dysomma anguillare Barnard로 동정이 되었다. 본 종은 외부 형태적으로 D. ophisthoproctus와 유사하나, 상하악의 앞부분은 근육질의 작은 돌기를 가지며, 눈이 퇴화되었고, 체장은 아주 짧고 꼬리가 매우 길며, 항문이 가슴지느러미의 끝 아래에 위치하고 비늘이 없는 점등이 특징적이다. 본 종은 체장이 짧고 꼬리가 길다는 특징에 따라 한국명을 긴꼬리장어 과, 긴꼬리장어 속, 긴꼬리장어 로 명명하였다. The synaphobranchid eel, Dysomma anguillare was redescribed on the basis of a specimen collected from the Yellow Sea, Chollabuk-do, Korea. The D. anguillare was characterized by many fleshy plicae at the front of upper and lower jaws, dorsal fin originated in slight advance than pectoral fin base, degenerated eyes, very short trunk and long tail, anus located below near tip of pectoral fin and no scales.
