Taekwondo is a martial art form and sport that uses the hands and foot for attack and defense. Taekwondo basic motion is composed of the breaking, competition and poomsea motion. In the side kick among the competition motion, the impact force is larger than other kinds of kicks. The side kick with the front foot can be made in two steps. In the first step, the front foot is stretched forward from back stance free-fighting position. For the second step, the rear foot is followed simultaneously. Then, the kick is executed while entire body weight rests on the rear foot. In this paper, impact analysis of the human model for hitting posture is carried out. The ADAMS/LifeMOD is used in hitting modeling and simulation. The simulation model creates the human model to hit the opponent. As the results, the dynamic analysis of human muscle were presented.

In automotive electronics system, cameras play an important role in ADAS(Advanced Driver Assistance System) and autonomous vehicles. The most basic and essential technology in camera-based systems is the elimination of errors in camera installation when the car is mass-produced. Generally, a specific pattern is set around the car, and the view point through the camera is adjusted so that it is the same for every car. However, if the pattern and the car are not in the right position, it is impossible to calibrate them with a known method alone. Even though we know the relationship between the pattern and the car, we still do not know the relationship between the car and the camera. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that can estimate the relationship between the car and the camera. The proposed technique will overcome the constraint that the vehicle and the pattern should be placed in the forward direction when the camera is calibrated.

Automobile manufacturers have to guarantee consistently the high accuracy of side-view camera tolerance for driver’s safety. Accordingly, they usually estimate the parameters of a lens and image sensor of an camera, which is called the camera calibration. However, calibration equipment is quite expensive and costs a lot to maintain. We present a self-calibration method that only requires a static object in the scene. Difference between each pixel in each captured frame holds clues to detect a static object. Then, we estimate camera parameters using Hough transform and normalized cross correlation algorithms. Proposed technique can overcome space constraints and is suitable for mass-production.
낙하 충격을 받는 다점 구속 장치를 착용한 헬기 승무원의 상해도 평가에 관한 연구

In this paper, a method of modeling seat belts on crew seat during dynamic seat testing was studied. The body segments of the occupant were modeled with joints. The joints consisted with various stiffnesses, dampings, and frictions. Three types of seat belt restraint systems were investigated. The analysis for on the injury assessment of helicopter's crew under drop impact was conducted. The effectiveness of the seat belt system for crashworthiness and safety was evaluated. As the results of impact analysis, head, neck and spine of the crew can be easily damaged in the vertical direction more than the longitudinal direction. Based on the verified model, behavior of human body was studied with three-point restraint systems. The displacement and injury level of the 12-point restraint system was the smallest.

터널 입구에서의 블랙홀 현상 완화를 위한 카메라 기반의 전면유리 투과율 제어 방법

Blackout effect occurs when a driver misadapts to the changed lighting conditions upon entering a tunnel. This could lead to a decrease in visibility especially in the daylight, depending on the difference in the degree of brightness between inside and outside the tunnel. To alleviate such a problem, we decrease windshield transparency before the driver arrives at the tunnel entrance. Controlled amount of light inside the car can allow the drivers to adjust to the dark prior to entering. The windshield transparency coefficient is to be determined by the arrival time at the tunnel and difference in the level of brightness between inside and outside the tunnel. Navigation, road sign detection, and tunnel entrance detection provide the arrival time. We also designed an opto-electronic conversion function to estimate the level of brightness. The black-hole phenomenon alleviation method is verified by field experiments using an automobile camera and a navigation. The result shows that the adjusted windshield transparency is able to provide an environment with a comfortable level of brightness with which the drivers can enter tunnels without the visibility problem.
