N/A Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) is reported to be elevated in patients with sarcoidosis, Gaucher`s disease, leprosy, silicosis, asbestosis, and histiocytic medullary reticulosis. The serum ACE activity was measured in 45 patients with tuberculosis, 6 patients with cnacer, and 50 normal controls. To investigate the correlation between serum ACE activity and delayed hypersensitivity, tuberculin skin tests were performed and the results were compared with serum ACE levels in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. The results were as follows: 1) The serum ACE level in tuberculosis patients was not higher than in the normal control group (p>0.1). 2) The serum ACE level in cancer patients tended to be lower than in the normal control group(p<0.1). 3) A correlation between serum ACE activity and the severity of pulmonary tuberculosis was not present. 4) There was a significant inverse correlation between the diameter of the cutaneous reaction to tuberculin and serum ACE is not a useful parameter to indicate severity and progress of pulmonary tuberculosis and that there is an inverse correlation between delayed hypersensitivity and serum ACE level. We suggest that this inverse relationship results from competition for the relevant signal molecules on the macrophage surface.

Numerical simulation using CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamic) in order to predict a mass flow rate and a flow coefficient form flow dynamic point of view. The outlet pressure was fixed by atmospheric pressure and calculated until increasing 1bar to 10bar. CFD analysis used STAR-CCM+ which is commercial code and Governing equations were calculated by moving mesh which is rotated 90 degrees when ball valve operated opening and closing in 1 degree interval. The result shows change of mass flow rate according to opening and closing angle of valve. The structural analysis used ANSYS which is a commercial code. Stress analysis result of internal pressure in valve showed lower than yield strength. This is expect to need more detail design and verification for stem and seat structure.

We have studied the nuclear quadrupole interaction of flurine(F) atom implanted in gallium nitride(GaN) cluster models and the defect formation energies in Gan cluster using Hartree-Fock(HF) theory. As results, the total energy values were -8020.3328Hartree at the intrabond site and -8020.3769Hartree at the antibonding site bonded to Ga respectively. These results show that F reside at the Ga antibonding site rather than at the intrabond site in GaN crystal.

Chromate and Dichromate is used as the corrosion inhibitor in cooling water. The hexavalent chromium is toxic and undesirable pollutants. Disposition of blowdown water into the river is meant in compliance with environmental pollution regulation. This study related to the efficient method for removing of hexavalent chromium and oil from aqueous medium by electrochemical unit. Experiments were carried out in laboratory and field condition.

0.1N 염산용액중 일정한 온도(30∼50℃)와 일정한 억제제의 농도(0.1%∼0.5%) 범위에 있어서 Carbon Steel에 대한 메칠아민(Methyl Amine)의 방식 효과와 메칠아민 농도에 따른 PH 상승경향은 디메칠아민<모노메칠아민<트리메칠아민 (DMA<MMA<TMA) 순으로 증가되며 이는 메칠아민의 pk 값 크기와 일치하나, Ionization Potential값과 분자단면적 (σads)값에 의한 방식효과 순서인 M.M.A<D.M.A<T.M.A 순서와 일치하지 않으며 부식억제제로서의 기능과 PH조절제 즉 중화제로서의 기능을 갖고 있는 동시에 메칠아민의 방식효과 크기는 온도, 농도에 좌우되나 대체적으로 디메칠아민<모노메칠아민<트리메칠아민 순으로 증가됨을 알 수 있다.

염산을 이용하여 현장 열교환기를 화학 세정할 경우 세정효과를 나타내고 부식을 억제시킬 수 있는 가장 적정한 조건을 부식억제제 농도, 세정액의 농도와 온도에 따라 부식율을 조사하였다.
