Generally, implantable microphone has been implanted in the temporal bone for implantable middle ear hearing devices (IMEHDs). In this case, the microphone"s membrane can be damaged and can be generated biological noise. In order to overcome the these problems, the location of implanted microphone should be changed. As an alternative, the microphone can be implanted in the external auditory canal or in the .pinna. However, the sound emission can be produced because of vibration transducer toward reverse direction from the tympanic membrane to the external auditory canal. In this paper, an amount of the emitted sound is measured using a probe microphone as the changing the position of microphone in the external auditory canal or in the pinna of a physical ear model, which is similar to acoustical and vibratory properties of the human ear. According to analysis of the measurements, the proper location of the microphone can be estimated which can minimize emitted sound.

Generally, fully implantable middle ear hearing device (F-IMEHD) is implanted under the skin nearby human temporal bone. It has implantable microphone and vibration transducer. The microphone and transducer have particular characteristics. Fitting software has to consider their characteristics. In this paper, fitting software for F - IMEHD has been designed and implemented. It can find out proper fitting parameter reflecting characteristics of the microphone and transducer for patients who has difficulty in hearing.

Through several papers, we announced that fully implantable middle ear hearing device (F-IMEHD) has been researched. The F-IMEHD requires proper fitting process reflected properties of each device like other hearing aids. The F-IMEHD uses vibration transducer attached on ossicles to transmit the sound signal to human"s inner ear. The microphone is implanted under skin. Therefore, the fitting process for F-IMEHD has to consider properties of the microphone and transducer. The F-IMEHD some external devices to control it, because it is impossible that user cannot control the device using wired method without damage to skin. In this paper, base-station and fitting software have been designed and implemented for F-IMEHD. In addition, based on them, we also have proposed direct fitting system for F-IMEHD. We calculates proper parameters according to hearing level of each patient through the fitting software, and then transmit the calculated values to implantable system through the base-station. The base-station has all function to control fitting parameters for F-IMEHD as a wireless controller, As a sub-part of direct fitting system, it transmits fitting parameters from fitting software on PC to F-IMEHD.

일반적으로 완전 이식형 인공중이는 이식형 마이크로폰과 진동 트랜스듀서를 포함한 모든 구성 요소가 측두골 부근 피부 아래에 이식되는 보청기이다. 마이크로폰과 트랜스듀서의 경우 이식 전과 후의 동작 주파수 특성 등이 달라진다. 이러한 특성변화와 이식 대상자의 청력특성에 알맞은 보청기 동작을 수행하기 위해 적합과정을 수행하게 된다. 일반 공기전도형 보청기나 부분 이식형 보청기의 경우 적합을 위한 전선 연결부가 존재하나 완전이식형의 경우에는 몸속에 모두 이식됨으로 이러한 전선의 연결이 어려우며 이에 따라 기존 보청기의 적합 프로그램을 적용하는 하드웨어를 이용한 적합이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 완전 이식형 인공중이를 위한 무선 적합 하드웨어에 적용 가능한 적합 소프트웨어를 설계 및 구현하였다. 구현한 적합 소프트웨어는 마이크로폰과 트랜스듀서의 특성과 난청자의 청력도를 반영하여 적절한 청력 보상치를 산출할 수 있다. generally, fully implantable middle ear hearing device (F-IMEHD) is implanted under the skin nearby human temporal bone with all components including implantable microphone and vibration transducer. Fitting process is performed for this characteristic change of them and proper performance of hearing aids for each patient. Conventional hearing aids and partially implantable hearing aids, they have wired connector for fitting process. However in case of F-IMEHD, it is difficult this wired connection, because all components of F-IMEHD is implanted. In this paper, fitting software that can be apply wireless fitting hardware for F-IMEHD has been designed and implemented. It can find out proper fitting parameter reflecting characteristics of the microphone and transducer for patients who has difficulty in hearing.
