Recently, the Korea National Railways (KNR) is undertaking a program of electrification of the existing railway routes. In order to implement the ongoing plan, KNR authorized a preliminary engineering study of its electrical systems. This effort included a comprehensive analysis of new grounding networks. The new grounding system runs in parallel with the rails and is connected to all metal structures such as rails, overhead protection wires and substation grounding grids etc., creating an equipotential ground network. This paper presents a study on coupling levels that can disturb signaling and telecommunications in adoption of the new grounding network The simulation for the study is carried out using Matlab software. Several different scenarios are analyzed, including the load condition and a few fault conditions with different fault locations. The induced potentials on the communication cables are computed. The effect of the buried ground wires is also analyzed by comparing the results with and without the presence of the ground wires. The results presented in the paper can be used as a reference for estimating coupling levels in similar rail systems.

The 200 class insulation system which adopted to traction motor have excellent dielectric strength but weaken to thermal stress therefore deterioration phenomena analysis according to thermal stress is necessary. Accelerated thermal aging tests have been used to determine thermal reliability of stator coils used as traction motor in electric multiple unit. The conventional aging test is carried on according to IEC 60034-18-31 and IEEE Std. 275-1992. Variation in insulation resistance, R.I, capacitance, dielectric loss(tan δ) and partial discharge are measured during the aging cycle. Sample coils for traction motor were tested by accelerated aging test which composed of heat, vibration and moisture. Reliability and expected life were evaluated on the insulation system for traction motor.

경제성과 친환경적인 시스템의 기술개발이 요구되고 있고 선진국들은 활발한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 기존 방식은 곡선 주행 시 내측과 외측 반경 차에 의한 선속도 차이로 한쪽 차륜이 끌려가는 구조이므로 차륜과 레일이 마모되어 소음이 발생하고, 유지보수비용이 증가한다. 또한 유도전동기는 효율이 낮고 외부공기로 냉각하는 방식으로 이물질로 인한 유지보수 비용이 많이 들어가는 구조로 되어 있다. 도시철도 운행구간 중 급곡선 구간 비율이 높은 점을 감안할 때, 기존보다 전동기 효율을 향상시키고 곡선 주행 시 차륜이 각각 회전하게 구성하므로 곡선추종성을 향상시키면서 소음과 유지보수비용을 줄일 수 있는 영구자석 동기전동기타입의 각륜구동 전동기 기술개발이 필요하다. 이 분야의 국내외 특허동향을 분석해 보았다. Conventional induction motor driving system using the inner and outer radius of the curved lines by the car speed difference between the wheels is pulled to one side, so that the wheel and rail wear and noise is generated, and the maintenance cost is increased. In addition, the efficiency of the induction motor is cooled by the outside air is low, foreign matter way costly maintenance due to the structure in which there is need improvement. Thus, the use of high-energy class of urban rail-curve given that a high percentage of efficiency than conventional motors and rotate each curve so that the curve of the wheel when driving to improve traceability and reduce noise and maintenance costs of the permanent magnet synchronous independent-wheel-type traction motor skills need to be developed. This paper analyzed trends in the field of patents.
기존선 변전소에서의 고조파 발생현황과 저감설비 설치 효과 검토

The harmonic current originated from electric cars will be cause of electromagnetic interference along adjacent communication cables and troubles with signaling. It will also cause overheating in power capacitor and malfuction in protection relay. Therefore, it brought actual measurement of harmonic current by each operation mode. Because the result exceeded the value prescribed by Korea Electric Power Corporation, we constructed facilities reducing harmonic current on overloaded part at each power supply station located in conventional line (Guro, Kyungsan, and Milyang ) as an optimal alternative. Then, this study compared and analyzed the reducing effect before and after constructing facility.
