Fabrication of titania thin films with ordered nanopores and atomically flat surface

Ever since the first discovery of the mesoporous silica materiais, membranes and templates with nanometer scaled pores have been anticipated as the potential applications of these and related materials. However, there have been several hurdles to overcome before such applications become possible. Some of the most important problems are the low reproducibility, the lack of controllability over the pore structure and the external morphology. Here in, we report reproducible synthesis method of meso- or nanoporous titania thin films with controls over internal and external structures. Using these thin films, we also have demonstrated the first example of nanoscopic membrane with size selectivity of I nm, and synthesized high density arrays of Pt and Ag nanoparticles within the nanopores.
Adsorption and desorption property of iminodiacetate resin (Lewatit1 TP207) for indium recovery

The adsorption and desorption characteristics for indium recovery from aqueous solutions usingcommercially available iminodiacetate resin Lewatit1TP207 (TP207) was investigated. The polymerresin had indium adsorption capacity of 55 mgIn/gTP207 at 25˚ C and desorption efficiency of 99% in pH0.8 acid aqueous solution. Furthermore, it was observed that TP207 had performance result of 99% afterfour times cycle test to confirm the reusability. The results show that TP207 polymer resin provides highefficient desorption property in acid solution and reusability in cycle test of adsorption–desorption. These results offer a simple and effective recovery process for indium.
