The conventional satellite image fusion methods usually add the same amount of higher frequency components extracted from the panchromatic image to all the multispectral images. However, it is noted that each of multispectral images has different amount of overlap with the panchromatic image in terms of its spectrum, and also has different intensities. Thus giving the same amount of high frequency contents to all the spectral bands does not match with this observation, which causes color distortion in the fused image. In this paper, we propose a new wavelet-domain satellite image fusion algorithm that can compensate for these differences in intensity and spectrum overlap. For the compensation of intensity differences, we first estimate the high resolution multispectral images from P, considering the relative intensity ratios. For the compensation of the amount of spectral overlap, their wavelet coefficients are appended to the conventional wavelet-domain method where the coefficients for the addition is determined by the amount of spectrum overlap. Experiments are conducted for the IKONOS satellite images whose spectrums are well known, and the results show that the proposed algorithm gives higher PSNR and correlation coefficients compared to the conventional methods.

사람 재인식 기술은 서로 겹치는 영역이 없는 복수의 감시카메라에서 포착된 동일 인물들을 찾아내는 것을 목표로 한다. 최근에 다수의 방법들이 제시 되었고, 그들 대부분은 사람의 겉모습을 보다 식별 능력이 뛰어난 특징으로 나타내는 방법을 제안하였다. 사람의 형태는 단단한 굳은 모습이 아니라 유연한 유형이기 때문에 한 개의 특징으로 표현하기에는 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서 우리는 여러 특징 추출 방법들을 보다 효율적으로 융합할 수 있는 새로운 체계를 제안한다. 기존에 사람 재인식을 위해 이용되는 특징 추출법을 이용해, 더 나은 결과를 주는 후기 융합 체계이다. 구체적으로, 별도의 학습과정 없이 대상이 되는 보행자 영상과 매칭 후보들 사이에 자세 차이를 고려하여 사람의 겉모습을 표현하는 특징 추출 방법별로 체계적으로 가중치를 조절해 융합하는 방법이다. 제안하는 방법은 사람 재인식을 위한 실험 데이터인 3DPeS를 이용해 유효성을 입증한다. The goal of person re-identification is matching the same identity among of humans captured over non-overlapped multiple surveillance cameras. A large number of methods have proposed in recent years, and most of them are focusing on the most discriminant feature to describe person appearance. Since human body is not a rigid structure, it is difficult to represent pedestrians effectively with only one low-level feature. In this paper, we propose a novel framework to fuse the computed distance scores of multiple models, each of which is obtained based on a certain sort of feature. By utilizing the conventional approaches in person re-identification, the proposed late fusion framework gives better performances. In detail, the proposed framework fuses human appearance descriptors with weighting factors, which computed by considering the difference of poses between the probe and gallery images without any learning process. To validate the efficiency of the proposed method, we have experiments on the benchmark 3DPeS dataset.
가우시안 분포 모델을 이용한 KOMPSAT-2 영상 융합 알고리즘

이 논문에서는 위성 KOMPSAT-2의 영상획득 체계로 얻어지는 저해상도 다중분광영상과 고해상도의 팬크로매틱 영상을 이용하여 고화질의 컬러영상을 만드는 새로운 알고리즘을 소개한다. 기존의 대표적인 위성영상 융합방법들과 비교했을 때 가장 큰 특징은 체계적이고 신뢰도가 매우 높은 방법으로 융합을 한다는 것이다. 기존의 융합방법들은 고해상도의 팬크로매틱 영상에서 필요한 정보를 추출 시 각 센서의 전자기적 스펙트럼 영역이 다른 것을 고려하지 않아 결과영상에서 왜곡이 발생 하였다. 하지만 제안하는 알고리즘은 센서의 물리적인 분광 응답을 가우시안 분포 모델로 가정하고 고려하기 때문에, 위성영상 체계의 한계를 극복하는 결과 영상을 만든다. 이렇게 얻어진 영상은 공간 정보와 스펙트럼 정보를 객관적으로 비교하였을 때, 기존의 방법보다 개선되었음을 보여준다. This paper introduces new algorithm that makes high quality color image with low resolution multispectral images and high resolution panchromatic image obtained by satellite KOMPSAT-2. Comparing the proposed algorithm with the conventional satellite image fusion algorithm, it is systematical and reliable. In the process of conventional algorithm, each channels` wavelength is overlooked during abstracting the high resolution spacial information from the panchromatic image, so it produced color distorted result images. However, proposed algorithm overcomes the limitations of the satellite imagery system by considering the physical spectral response of the sensor as the gaussian distribution model. The experimental results show that proposed algorithm gives better results than the conventional algorithm.

본 논문은 분할 메쉬의 품질을 향상시키기 위해 초기 메쉬의 위상을 최적화 시키는 MDVC(Modified Dynamic Vertex Connectivity) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 분할 메쉬는 초기 메쉬에 연속적인 분할 규칙이 적용된 메쉬로, 초기 메쉬의 위상에 따라 분할 메쉬의 모양과 부드러움이 좌우된다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 MDVC 알고리즘은 초기 메쉬의 위상과 aspect ratio를 개선시키므로, 기존의 분할 메쉬에서 발생하던 뒤틀림 현상을 방지할 수 있고, 초기 메쉬의 규칙점의 개수가 증가되도록 위상정보를 변경시켜 메쉬분할시 부드러움을 개선시킬 수 있다.

The effect of potassium permanganate (KMnO4) in an electrolyte on the corrosion performance of magnesium alloy coated by micro-arc oxidation (MAO) has been investigated in this study. For this purpose, MAO coating was carried out on the present sample under AC condition in an alkaline silicate electrolyte with and without KMnO4. Irrespective of the addition of KMnO4, it was found from structural observation that the ceramic coating layers consisted of inner and outer layers. In the sample processed in the electrolyte with KMnO4, the outer layer became dense and even contained a number of Mn2O3 atoms, resulting in high corrosion resistance. Based on the results of a potentiodynamic polarization test, it was confirmed that the coating layer formed in the electrolyte with KMnO4 exhibited better corrosion resistance than that without KMnO4. The high corrosion resistance of the MAO-treated magnesium alloy was explained in relation to the equivalent circuit model.

Strain hardening behavior of ultrafine grained (UFG) dual-phase (DP) steels via equal-channel angular pressing and subsequent intercritical annealing followed by water quenching was investigated at ambient temperature. The formation of UFG martensite islands of ~1㎛ was not confined to the prior pearlite colonies, but uniformly distributed throughout UFG ferrite matrix. Their room temperature tensile properties were examined and compared to those of coarse grained DP steels. Although uniform and total elongations were not degraded, the strengths of UFG-DP steels were much higher than that of coarse grained DP steels. In contrast to conventional UFG steels fabricated by equal-channel angular pressings, UFG-DP steels exhibited significant strain hardening rate, which was attributed to uniform distribution of island-typed martensite as well as grain refinement of each constituent phase throughout the microstructure. Such strain hardening behavior was discussed in relation to modified C-J analysis based on Swift relationship.

This work investigated the microstructure and mechanical properties of 6063 Al alloy fabricated by shear-drawing (SD) technique where shear and drawing strains were combined together within a predetermined die. To find the optimum condition for sound deformation, three different dies having different inner angle and diameter of the exit channel were prepared. After single deformation of the present sample, the sound deformation took place without an abrupt failure of the sample if the inner angle would be greater than 135˚ in this study, when the channel diameter of the SD die was reduced from 10 to 9 mm. Microstructural observation showed that the inner angle of 135˚ was found to be more effective than that of 150˚ in terms of the alignment of each grain to the shear direction imposed by SD method. In addition, the yield strength of the SD-deformed sample was twice higher than that of the initial counterpart while loosing ductility in tension.
