This paper focuses on the simulation and characteristics of cold flow in the freezer of a household refrigerator. This flow field has been simulated with the standard κ-ε turbulence model by using 3-dimensional, steady and incompressible flow. It has been computed with door closing. And, we could find supercooled regions that vapor density rise. It is considered that deflections of temperature and velocity resulted from supercooled area in the freezer promote inflow moisture with door opening, as the results, heat and mass transfer in the freezer is fostered by the inflow moisture. At the same time, improvement plan and experiment based on these flow simulation were performed and examined successfully.

As vehicles are recently becoming more important in our life, the study for engine capacity has been conducted for many years. Specially, the study on lubrication in the engine is needed to develop engine capacity. The role of lubrication is to reduce fraction, manage the temperature and protect from corrosion etc. At the view point of the engine, lubrication and cooling of the engine have an effect on the life and efficiency, so we have to study this problem. Ball check valve is located in the inlet of the Oil Jet. Ball check valve is used to control the flow rate of the engine oil, which cools and lubricates the engine. Flow rate at the oil jet is very important, so the study for this problem is needed to conduct researches. The point of this study is to compute the flow rate and the flow in oil jet. The results of this study is that the mass flow rate is satisfied with the research which is obtained at the experiment.

Stand type kimchi refrigerator has been popular model and also will predict wide rise of the growth but studies of stand type kimchi refrigerator are not enough. Propose of this study is solution of time and economic problem caused by complicated and hard test by analysing flow characteristics and temperature distribution in stand type kimchi refrigerator. Analysis program is CFX-11.0 and used force convection generated by fan revolution. Result of analysis, there are different parts between left flow and right flow and this fact causes difference of temperature distribution in kimchi refrigerator.

Recently, we have many problems on the process of the sewage sludge. In past, the sewage sludge was treated by reclaimed land or thrown away in the sea. But these methods caused environmental pollution, Today, many researchers are studying various methods for reducing its volume. One of these method, this study is to reduce the moisture of sewage sludge and to solidify it using a dryer and curing equipment. In this research, we investigated about design parameter and operation condition of the equipment. The curing equipment reduces the percentage of water content from 30% of dryer to 10%. So, we have to study the curing characteristics and performance of curing equipment. For example, there are internal flow characteristics and change of the percentage of water content. And we investigated the change of data at outlet along the initial condition, temperature, humidity and air flow. Using this data, we achieve the experimental results of curing efficiency by each geometry and operating condition. And we also investigated numerical analysis of internal flow using CFD code. This research is basic study for optimal design of the curing equipment.

The frost generation of a household refrigerator is closely related to the distributions of temperature inside its compartments, such distributions are depends on the cold air circulation inside the refrigerator. So its frost can be reduced and energy consumption efficiency improved through optimization of air flow fields inside the freezing room. In this work, numerical simulations have been carried that used to measure velocity fields inside the freezing room of 3D B/F refrigerator. Numerical results show air flow in the freezing room. The object of numerical analysis is to compared with an experimental values. So the variation of the temperature at the wall was measured and carried out a quantitative analysis of frost generated from freezing compartment. The results of experiment was satisfied that values agreed with numerical analysis.

This paper focuses on the experiments to minimize freezing phenomena in the freezer of a household refrigerator. In the climate chamber, frosting characteristics and freezing phenomena in the freezer was investigated experimentally. Also, we performed the. experiments to find operation characteristics of refrigerator and measure freezing accumulation inside the freezer compartments with door opening and closing. The freezing accumulation measured much on grille fan, ceiling, shelf, left and right wall in order. At the same time, improvement plan and experiment based on these experiments were performed and examined successfully.
