In this study, a procedure is presented for the dynamic analysis of a multibody tracked vehicle system. The plannar vehicle model used in this investigationis assumed to consist of two kinematically decoupled subsystems,i.e.,the chassis subsystem and track subsystem. The chassis subsystem includes the chassis frame, sprocket,idler and rollers, while the track subsystem is repersented as a closed kinematic chain consisting of rigid links interconnercted by revolute joints. The recursive kinematic and dynamic formulation module of the vehicle will be developed and nonlinear contact force modules describing the interaction between track links, and sprocket, idler, rollers and ground will be also developed.<br/>

Axial fans are very useful cooling devices being widely used in many electric and industrial machinery. However those are often accompanying annoying noise. Many efforts have been devoted in order to reduce the fan noise. In this study, the procedure was devided into two major parts in considering effects of design parameters of axial fan concerned with noise ; the fan theory and the Fukano's fan noise study. By using the fan theory we defined stagger angle, camber angle, blade inlet and outlet angle for studying low noise fan. Then the effects of such angles on the flow rate and static pressure were investigated. By using the Fukano's fan noise theory, the relations of the chord length, the rotational speed and the number of blades vs. fan noise are investigated.

In this paper, the analysis of the shift transient characteristics for the Ravigneaux type automatic transmission has been carried out using dynamic models of the automatic trnasmission. It is necessary to understand the overall system including multi-plate clutch, band brake, one way clutch, and planetary gears. The equations of motion are derived from the dynamic models of the automatic transmission. The GUI computer simulation program has been developed to analyze the shift transient characteristics of the vehicle equipped with the Ravigneaux type automatic transmission.
