미래 흐름의 변화는 점점 가속화되고 있다. 다양한 분야가 어울려 융합하는 창의적 시대에, 우리는 어떻게 미래를 보다 맥락적으로 관찰하고 이해할 수 있을지 연구해왔다. 트렌드는 미래의 흐름을 나타내는 하나의 지표이며, 하나의 트렌드에는 수많은 사람들의 생각과 행동이 관여되어 있다. 그들의 생각과 의견을 수렴하고, 그것을 바탕으로 미래를 그려나가는 것이 바로 이 강연에서 말하고자 하는 “Collective Forecasting”, 함께 그리는 미래이다. 다차원적인 미래 소비자의 잠재된 욕구와 감성을 이끌어내고 종합적이고 통합적인 분석으로 미래가치를 예측하는 시스템 트렌드 예측 2.0 (Urtrend.net)을 소개한다. Change towards future is accelerating. In an era where various disciplines integrate and fruit creativity, we are studying how to better observe and understand future in its context. Trend is a sign of future and in each trend lays the people’s thought and behavior. Their thoughts and opinions are converged, and based on insights and visions collected. We name this process of collecting crowd’s opinion and drawing future from it, the “Collective Forecasting”. In this paper, trend forecast system ? UrTrend.net- where future user’s latent needs and emotions are drawn out through multi-dimensional measure and holistic analysis.

In current society, services and products have become highly networked complexes. Such complexes apply to tangible and intangible outcomes and occurring. What we are certain of is that now every environment and what is in it has become massive whole, and that what was once solvable in one disciplinary is now tackled with team of various professionals. The world is continuously growing in its complexity, and leading design education institutes have started launching trans-disciplinary education for holistic approach practices. Seoul National University also perceived the necessity, and in 2009, one of the first design oriented trans-disciplinary workshop was launched. The workshop course was observed and analyzed for further development of trans-disciplinary education program. Basing on 2009 trans-disciplinary program, Design Department has conducted study to finds clues to answer 'formulation for trans-disciplinary team' and' if design workshop foster creative thinking in trans-disciplinary education environment'.
