Formation of Iron Oxides in a Waste Pickling Liquor

The $\alpha$-FeOOH powders were prepared by allkaline and acidic method on the small scale plant from the waste pickling liquor of iron. $\alpha$-FeOOH, $\alpha-Fe_2O_3$, $Fe_3O_4$ and ${\gamma}-Fe_2O_3$ powders were examined by TEM, SEM, TG-DTA, X-ray diffraction, VSM and chemical analysis. The results obtained from the experiment could be summerized as follows : the reaction time for the preparation of $\alpha$-FeOOH was observed to be smaller in the case of alkaline method and the products was acicular with the size of about $0.5\mu\textrm{m}$. The color of $\alpha-FeOOH and $\alpha-Fe_2O_3$was lovely yellow and red, respectively. The magnetic properties of $Fe_3O_4$ obtained by the reduction of $\alpha-Fe_2O_3$in the $H_2$ atomosphere at $370^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour showed 367(Oe) and 82.7(emu/g).

Currently, to overcome the limit of a 14V power supply system and to enhance the stability of this system high and to make the fuel efficiency better, a research development of a 42V power supply system is actively the progress. As an intermediate step to change into an unity power supply system, a 42V/14V dual power supply system uses a DC/DC Converter as one of structure elements. Considering the main electric power sources in the next generation of the car is a 42V system, a 14V power supply system has advantages as follows : to be managed efficiently and to increase the redundancy at start, to jump start with any vehicles, etc. We need the introduction of a bi-directional converter that can flow the energy each other in a dual 42V-12V system. This paper proposed the ZVS bi-directional CUK DC/DC converter which decrease the weight with the size of the DC/DC Converter and minimize the loss when the switching happen. In this paper, a circuit design method and an action principle of the circuit was proposed. To verify the proposed circuit, a comprehensive evaluation with theoretical analysis, simulation results is presented.

Recently, UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply) have been largely used to Improve power souse quality as well as to protect critical loads such as computer, industrial system, medical equipment, etc, against power outage by providing clean and uninterrupted power under power supply disturbance or interruptions. But UPS is bulky because used battery. So, UPS size issue have received attention in the power electronics industry.<br/> Therefore, this paper proposed a implementation of inside of the computer power supply with UPS by the one-chip microprocessor to minimize UPS size. To verify the proposed power supply, the detail simulation and experiment results indicate that high-frequency switching and operation UPS can be achieved.

A single-phase bi-directional inverter using a diode bridge-type resonant circuit to implement ZVT(Zero Voltage Transition) switching is presented. It is shown that the ZACE(Zero Average Current Error) algorithm based polarized ramp time current control can provide a suitable interface between diode bridge-type resonant circuit DC link and the inverter. The current control algorithm is analyzed about how to design the circuit with auxiliary switch which can ZVT operation for the main power switch The simulation and experimental results would be shown to verify the proposed current algorithm, because the main power switch is turn on with ZVT and the bi-directional inverter is operated.<br/> <br/> <br/>

A optimal soft switching technique for A/DC full bridge converter is proposed, variable soft switching single stage AC/DC full bridge converter with unit power factor are presented in this paper. Using soft switching, we can reduce a switching losses. As a result, achieving good power factor and achieving a good efficiency. We search a optimal soft switching technique in this paper and to verify the theoretical analysis of the presented AC/DC full bridge converter, a design example is given with its Pspice and Psim simulation and experimental results.

In this paper, the diode bridge-type ZVT(Zero-Voltage Transition) inverter is proposed. It consists of one auxiliary switch, three resonant inductors and six blocking diodes So, the advantage of the proposed topology is the reduction of the auxiliary switch. The topology of the proposed ZVT inverter is analyzed with a description of the control conditions based on the load current. Therefore, this paper two control algorithms were discussed. a variable resonant pattern control algorithm by using load current feedback and a resonant period control algorithm by using resonant inductor current feedback IS proposed in order to achieve the ZVT switching condition in full control range and the reducing current spike main switches cause by reverse recovery problem.

This paper deals with stand-alone PV power generation system with charge and discharge controller for the, LED road sign. Main power source of PV system are generally solar cell and battery. Therefore PV system can be classified into variable types in accordance with connection type between battery and solar sell. Mainly used on of them is direct connection type which has advantage such as simple structure and simple controller. To verify the proposed PV generation system for the LED road sign, the detail simulation and experiment results indicate that operating characteristics are verified by experiment with a laboratory prototype in this paper.

In this paper, the proposed current control algorithm is analized and discussed about how to design the auxiliary circuit with auxiliary switch which can apply ZVT operation for the main switch.<br/> The simulation results would be shown to verify the proposed current algorithm, because the main power switch is turn on with ZVT and the bi -directional Inverter is operated.
