        Detection of Facial Feature Regionsby Manipulation of DCT’s Coefficients

        본 논문에서는 DCT계수의 특성을 이용하여 조명조건이나 얼굴의 크기에 무관하게 얼굴특정영역을 검출하기 위한 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 일반적으로 영상을 DCT변환하면 영상의 에너지가 저주파영역에 집중되는 특성을 가지나 얼굴 특정요소들은 얼굴영상에서 비교적 고주파 성분들을 포함하고 있기 때문에 저주파에 해당되는 DCT계수들의 일부를 제거한 후 역변환을 취하면 얼굴특징영역이 강조된 영상을 얻을 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 DCT변환된 영상으로부터 저주파 계수의 일부를 제거하여 얼굴특징요소 후보들을 추출한 후 템플릿을 적용하여 얼굴특정요소 영역을 결정한다. 얼굴특정요소 영역이 결정되면 얼굴특정요소 추출 알고리즘을 적용하여 눈, 코, 업을 구별한다. 제안된 알고리즘을 MIT의CBCL DB와 Yale facedatabase B 에 적용하여 실험하였다. 실험결과 DCT변환된 영상에서 저주파 일부의 계수를 제거한 후 얼굴 특정영역을 검출했을 경우 그렇지 않은 영상보다 영상의 크기와 조명조건의 변화에 무관하게 인식성능이 향상됨을 알 수 있었다. This paper proposes a new approach for the detection of facial feature regions using the characteristic of DCT(discrete cosine transformation) thatconcentrates the energy of an image into lower frequency coefficients. Since the facial features are pertained to relatively high frequency in a face image, the inverse DCT after removing the DCT’s coefficients corresponding to the lower frequencies generates the image where the facial feature regions are emphasized. Thus the facial regions can be easily segmentedfrom the inversed image using any differential operator. In the segmented region, facial features can be found using face template The proposedalgorithm has been tested with the image MIT’s CBCL DB and the Yale facedatabase B. The experimental results have shown superior performance under the variations of image size and lighting condition.

        우편용 RFID 응용 모델

        본 논문에서는 우편 물류 환경에서 실시간 소포 처리 및 파렛 관리를 위한 RFID 적용 모델과 시스템 구조를 제시하였다 또한 제시한 RFID 응용 모델과 시스템 구조에 기반하여 RFID 기술을 우정 물류 현장 도입에 앞서 사전에 문제점을 파악하여 그 해결 방안을 모색하고 시행착오를 줄이기 위해 우편 물류용 RFID 응용 시스템 Testbed를 구축했고, 구축한 우편용 RFID 용용 시스템을 이용해 매체별 RFID 태그 인식 성능에 대한 시험 결과를 보였다. 실험에서 종이와 알미늄호일에 대한 인식성능이 물과 캔에 대한 인식성능보다 높음을 알 수 있었다. In this paper, we suggest postal RFID adaptation model and system architecture which can be used for real time trace and track of parcel processing and pallet management. This paper also shows postal RFID application system testbed based on the proposed postal RFID application model and architecture, and shows recognition performance of tag on parcel and pallet by speed and mounting tag material such as thin cans, water bottles, and paper using implemented postal RFID system to find the best solution for RFID adaptation in postal logistics environment. In the experiment, we can know recognition performance of paper and aluminium foil is better than water bottles and thin cans.

        휴대단말 카메라를 이용한 아두이노 기반 졸음예방시스템

        In this paper, Arduino based Sleepiness Prevention System Using a Smart-phone camera was implemented. The proposed system consists of the recognition part, control part and alarm part. In the recognition part, face images from Smartphone application programmed by this paper took. In the recognition part, following actions are accomplished: First, contour character values from initial face image and continuous face image of user are extracted. Second, these values are compared and then if values from continuous face image are moved compared to initial values, control value for tracking image is transmitted to the control part, if not, control value to sleepiness decision is transmittedt. In the control part, camera is moved or alarm is transmitted according to received control values. The proposed system was programmed by openCV in the recognition part and C-based Arduino sketch. Also, the reconition part and control part are communicating by bluetooth method. The proposed system accomplished actions according to predefined algorithm correctively and then showed reasonalble operation result.

        전자문서 무한 노출 방지를 위한 선택적 마스킹․해제 및 열람 이력 관리 모델

        This paper presents selective masking, unmasking, and open history management model for unlimited exposure protection of electronic documents. The proposed model is composed of a masked electronic paper production system, registration and history management system of masked electronics documents, unmasking and its notification system of masked documents, finally masked documents transmission system. The electronic paper can be masked partially or overall and such produced documents are distributed and traded online or offline. Masked documents can be opened and changed by certain users and all information produced during these processes are managed by the registration and history management system and also notified to the electronic paper maker. Using the proposed model, we can achieve the efficient production and management control of electronic papers, expect effect of a information protection and an intellectual property rights infringe as well.

        프린트 워터마크 패턴 인식 장치의 설계 및 제작

        In this paper, new dot-typed print watermarks recognition system is proposed. The print watermark plays a role as a bridge which transforms original informations(texts, symbols, figures, etc) on the printed matter to another informations(sound, video, etc)1:1 corresponding to text informations on the printed matter. The proposed water mark patterns have dot-type and are re-printed invisibly near the original information on the printed matter. Certain recognition system is needed to recognize invisibe dot-typed print watermark. The proposed recognition system consists of CMOS Image Sensor Module and Sensor Interface Circuit. The CMOS Image Sensor Module constructs a Image Sensor and three LEDs that reflect only carbon ink component on a print matter. Also, the sensor module is protected by other light besides LED light. Sensor Interface connects the Sensor Module and computer, then plays a role to verify dot-type patterns captured by CMOS Image Sensor Module. It was showed that non-visual printed watermark patterns are correctly recognized by the proposed print watermark patterns recognition system.

        사물인터넷 기반 애완동물 배뇨훈련 및 먹이 자동 공급 장치의 설계 및 구현

        In this paper, we propose the urination training and automatic feeding system for breeding pet efficiently in IOT environment. This proposed system consists of a urination training plate, automatic feeding device and is connected with a smart phone application using bluetooth wireless network. The urination training plate is composed of a water sensor, recording module for voice ouput and speaker. The automatic feeding device is comprised of two servo motors. The result of urination is checked by comparing current values which are transmitted twice from the water sensor and if urination action is evaluated as success, give a owners sound to pet and transmit a event to smartphone. The automatic feeding process is accomplished by making two servo motors in a feed bucket rotate opposite direction each other according to the event signal from smart phone. The system is implemented using Arduino board, C language-based Arduino sketch program and android studio and showed that IOT environment can implemented using arduino which is inexpensive and open hardware and software.

        특정필드의 자동문자인식 및파일링 시스템

        In this paper, the automatic character recognition and filing interface to specific field was implemeted. The system have function that can save automatically recognized charecters in the DB file after automatic recognizing characters of specific field selected by mouse dragging. The proposed interface is divided the automatic character recognition part and filing part for saving recognized characters. The system was designed to be operated by menu selection method and if specific menu is selected, each corresponding output is appeared in one output window of 6 windows.

        웹서비스와 무선센서를 이용한 공용 기기 관리시스템의 구현

        In this paper, common equipment management system which can identify and then use remotely many information from common equipment having wireless sensor under web environment is proposed. The proposed system consist of a management control module, scheduling server and web server. The management control module is a kind of sensor and installed on individually numerous electrical equipment. ID and control information of the electrical equipment are transferred to web server through wireless interface. The scheduling server performs a role to count and provide scheduling information based on information from each management control module. The management control module was implemented using atmega 328 based arduino board and scheduling server controls information of common electrical equipment through web interface in web server. Because the proposed system has a function that user can identify remotely many control and management information of common equipment by web service, the system will offer convenience to many consumer who are waiting to use the equipment.
