도서관은 인류가 생산해온 지식정보를 축적하고 이를 대중에게 제공하는 공간으로 과거와 현재를 아울러유 무형의 유산으로서 가지는 의미가 크다. 최근에는 디지털 정보의 폭발적인 증가로 도서관에서도 이를 활용 할 수 있는 설비들을 적극적으로 갖추어 이용자들이 쉽게 디지털 정보에 접근할 수 있도록 변화하고 있다. 하지만 현재 이러한 도서관의 정보 접근성에 관한 혁신은 디지털 정보의 제공에 한정된다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 도서관의 열람실에 비치되어 있는 도서와 비도서를 포함한 아날로그 문헌정보에 접근하기 위한 과정은 여전히 이용자에게 많은 시간과 노력을 요구하고 있다. 본 연구는 도서관에서의 문헌 탐색과정에서 목적한 정보를 찾는 데에 도움이 될 수 있는 서가의 폼팩터를 구성하였으며 이를 바탕으로 구체화된 디자인의 예를 제시하였다. The library where the mankind`s knowledge has been accumulated and provided to the public is both tangibly and intangibly significant property. Recently as explosive increase in digital information, the library is changing by actively installing its utilizing system thereby users can access to it more easily. But for now it has a problem that this innovation is limited to providing digital information only. It still takes much time and effort to access to the analog documental information which is placed on one of the numerous sheves in a reading room. In this study, I suggest a bookshelf form factor in library which helps finding intended information promptly and clearly.

디지털 생활 제품에 있어서 감각 지각의 노화가 사용성에 미치는 영향 - 피드백과 피드포워드를 중심으로 -

우리 주변의 많은 부분이 편리라는 이름하에 디지털화 되고있다. 그러나 이러한 편리성의 혜택을 노년층은 누릴 수 없을 가능성이 높다. 노화에 의한 감각 저하가 인지능력 저하를 가져 오기 때문이다. 노년층이 이러한 IT 생활에서 소외 되지 않기 위해서는 노화의 특징을 잘 이해하고 이를 반영한 제품이 필요하다. 본 논문의 목적은 디지털 기기에 적용 할 수 있는 노화에 따른 사용성을 높이는 방법을 찾는데 있다. 특히, 노화에 보다 효과적인 피드백, 피드포워드를 찾는데 집중한다. 그러나 노인 사용자를 위한 소리나 형상의 크기에 대한 수치적인 연구 보다는 참여관찰과, 인터뷰를 통하여 맥락적인 요소를 찾고자 한다. 노인의 사용성에 대한 문제는 특히 노화된 감각과 이 감각이 인지에 미치는 작용 때문에 일어나기에 통합적인 관찰이 수행되었다. 연구에는 각기 다른 기능을 하는 4개의 디지털 생활제품이 사용되었고, 관찰 결과는 1)피드백과 피드포워드의 종류와 수행성과 2)감각의 노화와 수행성과의 관점에서 분석하여, 노인에게 적절한 피드백과 피드포워드의 감각의 특징을 규명하였다. We have successfully digitalized various aspects of our lives for greater convenience. Unfortunately, the elderly are often not the beneficiary of digitalization. Older people experience sensitivity loss and thus cognitive decline. To share the benefit of digitalization with the elderly, we need to develop products that understand the challenges of aging. The study intends to identify the ways to improve the usability of digital products for elderly users, with particular emphasis on feedback and feed-forward. To accomplish the purpose, this article adopts a context-focused approach that focuses on interview and participatory observation, rather than a quantitative approach that focuses on the size of shape and sound. Since the elderly have low usability as a result of sensitivity loss and cognitive decline, the subjects are observed in a holistic manner. Four different digital products are used for the observations. Based on the observations, this study 1) evaluates the performance of different feedback and feedforward and 2) analyzes the relationship between performance and issues of aging and identify the characteristics of the most effective feedback and feedforward.
