Cymbidium goeringii is one of the most important and popular species in the orchid family in north-east Asia. In the present study, we prepared multiplex PCR system, and used it for the genotyping of eight simple sequence repeats (SSR) markers (CG409, CG415, CG709, CG722, CG787, CG1023, CG1210, and CG1281) in subject with 40 samples of cultivated varieties. All the analyzed samples showed different combined genotypes. The average combined power of discrimination was very high value of 7.14 × 10?¹?, and observed heterozygosity (Ho = 0.466) was similar with two wild populations of C. goeringii, which may indicate no or little occurrence of genetic change after collection from wild habitats. The present study also developed a two-dimensional barcode to express information of genotype results of eight SSR markers (SSR DNA ID). The discrimination power of DNA ID between two individuals will be statistically more than 99.999999%. The SSR DNA ID and two-dimensional barcode may be very usefully applied for the discrimination and maintence of cultivars of C. goeringii.

This study investigates the influence of two reciprocal variable, perceived organizational support (POS) and leader-member exchange (LMX) quality, on the career commitment in organization and intention to turnover. It also examines whether career commitment is a significant correlate of turnover intention. Relationships among the constructs are tested using survey result from 192 employees working in five corporations of the financial sector in South Korea. Structural equation modeling (SEM) shows that perceived organizational support is a key predictor in career commitment and turnover intention whereas leader-member exchange quality is not. Results also indicates career commitment is unrelated to turnover intention. Based on these findings, the implications and limitations of the study are discussed.

Cultivars collected from similar regions and exhibiting similar phenotypes to each other are commonly called sister cultivars in spring orchid (Cymbidium goeringii). However, no exact information is available for the original collection places and collectors of sister cultivars, and no study has revealed the degree of genetic relationship among them. This study was performed to determine genetic kinship among sister cultivars. Thirteen flower-variant types of cultivars consisting of four sister cultivar groups (358 samples) were collected, and then thirteen combined genotypes were identified by the determination of 12 SSR genotypes using the multiplex PCR. The phylogenetic analysis and the sibling probabilities of the combined genotypes suggested that the cultivars constituting each group were close relatives. Some combined genotypes were regarded to be a cultivar-specific, but others were observed simultaneously in two or more cultivars within a group. Therefore, it was suggested to establish a new classification criteria on the sister cultivars. This study particularly proposes to prepare a detailed evaluation criteria for cultivar pairs of ‘Hongnoeul’ and ‘Ruby’, and ‘Noeul’ and ‘Sehongso’ in group-1 through exact co-analysis of the phenotypes and genotypes. As the first study on the genetic kinship between sister cultivars, this study will help to understand the genetic nature of the sister cultivars, and to re-classify them.
