The purpose of this study was to review the recent 3D graphic rendering techniques that can be used as the lighting visualization simulation tool with a 3D Studio MAX's plug-in renderer. This paper presents photorealistic rendering algorithm the embodies accurate image. In the test rendering simulation, a single prism panel was used to see the prism panel's caustic phenomenon for a directional lights. Based on our comparison, this paper verifies a possibility of the graphic renderers as a lighting simulation tool.
