This study was carried out to design, construct, and test the automatic inlet for the environment and status of control devices in the field. The sensing-type automatic inlet was developed for purpose of reducing farmer's working hours required for water management and saving irrigation water. The sensing-type automatic inlet was composed of four parts : sensor being made a signal by ponding depth, inlet body including frame, gate and screw shaft, control box including power switch, controller , relay, and drving devices including motor, battery, etc. It was designed to open and close the control gate according to the signal of the sensor. The working performance of the developed inlet in the field was successfully carried out and something to do the supplementation were derived.

This study was carried out to find problems of the farmland according to the large scale land consolidation projects. Field ramp have problems such as steep slope, narrow width and the difficulty of entering into field and exiting from it. In case of the even ratio of the paddy plot, It showed that the difference of the maximum average level were 8.4cm for the general plots(0.3~0.4ha), 12.6cm for the large scale plots(0.8~1.0ha), and the level of outlet part was higher than the level of inlet part in some plots. Also, most of presently using inlets are closed and opened manually. It showed that farmers had difficult in the operating of the inlets or the outlets. So it is required the development of the suitable inlets and the suitable outlets.

The water requirement of transplanting culture(TC) consisting of 16 plots and direct seeding culture in a well-drained paddy field(DC) also having 15 plots were measured in order to clarify the influence factors on water requirement. Each plot was maintained under different cultivation conditions. Those varied cultivation conditions were classified into 7 items. Subsequently, the relationship between water requirement and 7 items were analyzed by evaluating the average water requirement in each condition to clarify the items influencing water requirement. From the analysis of the results, the water requirement of DC was determined to be 3.5 times of the TC. Furthermore, water requirement in DC and TC were influenced mainly by ponding depth and locational condition respectively.

Objectives: Horse trainers ensure the horses they are training and monitor horse's health, hygiene. While most of the studies on horse trainer’s health focused on musculoskeletal disorders, few studies have examined the health effect of occupational exposure. This study aimed to investigate the risk of lung cancer in Korean Horse trainers. Methods: Among the largest health screening program of health screening service of the National Health Insurance Corporation, 2,246 workers were selected for study. We utilized data from the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) National Cohort Data Base 2005-2017. We performed analyses using a Cox’s proportional hazards model to identify the risk of lung cancer in Horse trainers. Results: This study found that the horse trainers group had a higher risk of lung cancer 10.07 (95% CI :2.38-42.64) compared to other occupational group. Additionally, there was 6.5 times higher risk of lung cancer in non-smoker horse trainers group. Conclusions: We, thus, verified horse trainers could have relation with increase of lung cancer risk. As lung cancer is known as a cancer with a high contribution of occupational factors compared to other cancers, it is necessary to determine the efficacy of continuous attention and active management of occupational exposure.

This study was carried out to examine the practicality of the prototype. The sensing-type automatic outlet was composed of four parts : sensor being made a signal by ponding depth, outlet body including L type pipe and drainage pipe, control box including power switch, controller, relay, and driving devices including motor, battery, etc. It was designed to open and close as the rotation angle of the L type pipe according to the signal of the sensor. The working performance of the developed outlet in the field was successfully carried out and something to do the supplementation were derived. We are expected to reduce farmer's working hours required for water management and saving irrigation water.
