In this paper, steady state characteristics of the electro-magnetic proportional solenoid actuator for pressure control valve determined by the shape of control cone are analyzed using finite element method and it is confirmed that the electro-magnetic proportional solenoid actuator has a constant attraction force in the control region independently on the stroke position. And the shape of control cone is optimized using (1+1) evolution strategy to get a constant force. In the optimization algorithm, control cone length, thickness and taper length are used as design parameters. In this paper, poppet and valve body which are assembled into the electro-magnetic solenoid actuator were designed and manufactured. Also, manufactured valve was tested using the experimental setup. Through the experimental procedure, characteristics of the manufactured valve were studied and compared to the results of theoretical analysis. The attraction force of proposed model was verified to have about ±2.5% error compared with simulation value

This paper presents the analysis on the proportional pressure control valve with large capacity for industrial use. Some theoretical and numerical analysis wa performed to design the proportional solenoid valve and a code has been developed for caculation for solenoid valve. To do this, analytical and numerical method was used. After several analysis, a real part for solenoid valve. To do this, analytical and numerical method was used. After several analysis, a rel part for solenoid valve are manufactured and some experiment for assembled solenoid valve was performed. The experiment reults show that the results from the developed program comes to nearly that of experiment.

In these several years, smart actuator and sensor systems which are called self-calibrating actuator, self-testing actuator and inter-digital actuator have become core technologies in NANO, MEMS and bio-MEMS. This paper reviews recent trends of the smart actuator development and application such as piezoelectric, shape memory alloy, electro-conjugate fluid, electro-rheological fluid, magneto-rheological fluid ferrofluid actuator.

This paper presents a steady characteristics of a on-off solenoid valve for fuel cell systme. In this study, The air inlet valve_1, which means that this valve controls the air flow and direction of air inlet port in fuel cell system, was suggested and manufactured. In order to make the improved valve for fuel cell system, the structure analysis and magnetic field analysis were conduted. The experimental setup for solenoid performance measurement which has a force sensor and a displacement sensor was also manufactured. The steady state performances of fabricated solenoid valve for fuel cell were experimentd and analyzed. In this study, the response characteristics improvement draft of a solenoid actuator for the on-off solenoid valve for fuel cell also basically discussed.

The purpose of this study is to bring out the optimal design factors which effect on dynamic characteristics in the design of flow control servo valve with high response characteristics, and to verify the validity of the design factors. In this study, force feedback type flow control valve with nozzle/flapper and with no drain is studied. And, the mutual effect of the parameters such as fixed orifice, nozzle diameter, and maximum displacement between nozzle and flapper are analyzed. We have done simulations using the optimal design factors and simulink(Matlab) as a simulation tool, and verified the validity of our simulations by means of comparison our simulation results with an experimental results of another similar valve.

In this study, flow characteristics of the poppet valve for safety valve in electro-hydraulic proportional pressure control equipment were analyzed. A safety valve with a poppet which are applied in industrial field have some advantages like fast response and stable operation. But the displacement is very short and the flow path is very narrow because of above-mentioned roll. Tiny displacement affects the discharge coefficient and eddy flow directly. So, it is very important study to analyze the flow characteristics of the poppet valve in electro-hydraulic proportional pressure control equipment. In this study, flow field numerical analysis of the object poppet valve of which displacement is from 0.1 to 0.3mm was operated. And distribution characteristics of the flow pressure and velocity were analyzed.
