In these days, passenger vehicles are getting optimized to have high fuel efficiency and minimized drag force from cross wind sensitivity. This cross wind make vehicle to decrease steering stability and satisfaction of driver. Since during passing maneuvers at high speeds and low lateral distance conditions are similar in gusty weather, it is important to investigate these situations. In this research, two Ahmed bodies are modeled by CAD tool. One Ahmed body is supposed high speed overtaking car and the other Ahmed body is supposed overtaken car. The test parameters varied are relative velocity between both Ahmed bodies, and some different lateral distances. Numerical analysis method is used to carry out the aerodynamics investigations and calculates side force effect on the surface of overtaken Ahmed body. All varied cases are simulated and compared with experiment result. As we expected, the important fact of aerodynamic phenomenon of the overtaken Ahmed body has good match with experiment result and the most effectiveness is relative velocity and lateral distance.
