        교각자세 또는 스태빌라이저를 이용한 복부 드로우-인 운동의 배가로근, 배속빗근, 배바깥빗근 두께 변화

        Purpose: The abdominal drawing-in maneuver (ADIM) is an exercise that selectively strengthens deep abdominal muscles. It is reported to be effective in strengthening those muscles when using a pressure biofeedback unit. However, multiple factors of bridge exercise seem to bring exercise result of ADIM without stabilizer as they influence execution of ADIM. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare changes in the thickness of deep abdominal muscles through the ADIM exercise incorporating either a stabilizer or the bridge exercise. Methods: Thirty healthy adults who had voluntarily given their consent were selected as the subjects. A diagnostic sonograph was used to measure the thickness of the subjects' transverse abdominis, internal oblique, and external oblique muscles. First, the thickness of the subjects' deep abdominal muscle was measured while maintaining the ADIM using the stabilizer. After three minutes of rest, the thickness was measured again while the subjects maintained the ADIM with the bridge exercise. Results: In both exercises, the thickness of the transverse abdominis showed a statistically significant increase, with a more significant increase while executing the ADIM using the bridge exercise. In both exercises, the thickness of the internal oblique showed a statistically significant increase, with a more significant increase while executing the ADIM using the bridge exercise. The thickness of the external oblique showed a statistically significant increase only in the ADIM using the bridge exercise. Conclusion: Though strengthening is not as selective as the ADIM using a stabilizer, the ADIM using the bridge exercise has a more increased thickness of the transverse abdominis and the internal oblique than that of the internal oblique. Based on the outcome of this study, the ADIM using the bridge exercise without a stabilizer can selectively strengthen deep abdominal muscles even more.

        가상현실 기반의 링 피트 어드벤처 코어 운동이 배가로근, 배속빗근, 배바깥빗근의 두께에 미치는 영향

        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to analyze the change in thickness of transvers abdominis, internal oblique, and external oblique when virtual reality based ring fit adventure is applied to young adults in order to investigate the effect of ring fit adventure on core stabilization. Methods : 30 subjects participated in the experiment. Subjects were randomly assigned to two groups. 15 subjects performed ring fit adventure core exercise (experimental group) and 15 subjects bridge and dead bug exercise (control group). The ring fit adventure core exercise program consists of 6 types, 1) bow pull, 2) overhead lunge twist, 3) pendulum bend, 4) seated ring raise, 5) plank, 6) warrior III pose. Each exercise was performed for 5 minutes, for a total of 30 minutes. The bridege and dead bug exercise were performed for 15 minutes each for a total of 30 minutes. All interventions were performed 3 times a week for 4 weeks. Thickness of the abdominal muscles was measured with a ultrasound. The paired t-test was used to compare the thickness of the transverse abdominis, internal oblique, and external oblique before and after intervention, and the comparison between groups was analyzed using the independent t-test. Results : As a result, in the experimental group, thickness of transverse abdominis and internal oblique increased significantly (p<.05), but external oblique decreased significantly (p<.05), and in the control group, thickness of transverse abdominis, internal oblique, and external oblique increased significantly (p<.05). There was a significant difference in external oblique in the difference between groups (p<.05). Conclusion : These study results showed that core exercise using ring fit adventure can reduce external oblique and increased selective muscle activity of transverse abdominis and internal oblique of the deep abdominal muscles, so it is meaningful as an effective intervention for core stabilization.

        McConnell 테이핑과 Kinesio 테이핑이 무릎넙다리통증증후군 환자의 계단 올라가기 시 통증과 다리관절 각도에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of McConnell taping and Kinesio taping on pain and lower extremity joint angles when patients with patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) ascend stairs. Methods: Fifty young adults who were experiencing anterior knee pain due to PFPS were selected as participants. Then, 25 patients were randomly assigned to the McConnell taping group and 25 to the Kinesio taping group. Pain and lower extremity joint angle were measured while ascending stairs before and after the intervention. A paired t-test was performed to evaluate the amount of change in the parameter values after the intervention within the groups, and an independent t-test was used to compare the results of the groups. Results: In the within-group comparisons, a statistically significant difference was found in both groups between the anterior knee pain scale scores recorded before and after the intervention (p < 0.05). A statistically significant difference was also found between the groups (p < 0.05). Comparison of the lower extremity joint angles at initial contact, loading response, terminal stance, and pre-swing within the groups showed that there were statistically significant differences in the hip, knee flexion, abduction, lateral rotation, and dorsiflexion angles in both the McConnell and Kinesio taping groups (p < 0.05). There was also a statistically significant difference in all angles between the groups during the following events (p < 0.05): (1) at initial contact, (2) at loading response (except hip flexion angle), (3) at terminal stance (except hip flexion and lateral rotation angles), and (4) at pre-swing(except hip, knee abduction, and inversion angles). Conclusion: McConnell taping and Kinesio taping both effectively improved the occurrence of knee pain and the lower extremity joint angles during stair ascent in patients with PFPS. However, McConnell taping had a significant impact on pain reduction and lower extremity joint angles compared to Kinesio taping.

        근전도 바이오피드백을 적용한 어깨뼈 동적 안정화운동이 위등세모근, 큰가슴근 및 앞톱니근 활성에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 근전도 바이오피드백을 적용한 어깨뼈 동적 안정화운동이 위등세모근, 큰가슴근 및 앞톱니 근 활성도에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 알아보고자 하는 것이었다. 건강한 성인 남성 15명이 연구에 자발적으로 참여하 였다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 대응표본 t-검정 방법을 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 근전도 바이오피드백 적용 시 위등세모 근과 큰가슴근의 활성도가 유의하게 감소하였고(p<0.01), 앞톱니근의 활성도는 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.01). 이를 통해 근전도 바이오피드백을 적용한 어깨뼈 동적 안정화 운동이 선택적으로 앞톱니근의 활성도를 증가시킬 수 있음 을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 어깨뼈 동적 안정화 운동에 근전도 바이오피드백을 적용한 첫 연구라는 점에서 의미가 있다고 여겨진다. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of scapular dynamic stabilization exercise(SDex) with electromyography(EMG) biofeedback on the upper trapezius(UT), pectoralis major(PM) and serratus anterior(SA) activities. Fifteen healthy male voluntarily participated in this study. A paired t-test was used for statistical analysis. The study showed, through EMG biofeedback, that EMG activity significantly decreased in the UT, PM and increased in the SA(P<0.05). These results suggest that SDex with EMG biofeedback is effective to selectively strengthen the SA. This article is meaningful in that it is the first article using SDex with EMG biofeedback.

        턱관절과 넙다리뒤근 고유수용성신경근촉진 중재가 능동 입벌리기 및 넙다리뒤근 유연성에 미치는 영향

        Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation(PNF) intervention for temporomandibular joints and hamstring on active mouth opening and hamstring flexibility. Methods 17 healthy adults were included in this randomized, single blind, crossover design study. The possibility of carry over effect could not be excluded. Before and after intervention, forward flexion distance, popliteal angle and active mouth opening were evaluated and results were analyzed. After first participating in the proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation(PNF) intervention for temporomandibular joints, each subject visited again after a week to prevent the carry_over effect and then participate in the other intervention. Results Both proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation(PNF) intervention significantly improved forward flexion distance, popliteal angle and active mouth opening. Comparing the two intervention, TM joint intervention significantly improved popliteal angle. Hamstring intervention significantly improved active mouth opening. No significant differences in forward flexion distance test were found between interventions. Conclusion Although proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation(PNF) intervention on hamstring had a effect on indirect intervention of active mouth opening, it is considered that more study is needed for clinical application.

        코어강화를 동반한 시각적 되먹임 훈련이 뇌졸중 환자의 협응력, 균형과 보행능력에 미치는 영향

        PURPOSE: This study compares the effects of HUBER rehabilitation and general rehabilitation treatment on the coordination, balance, and walking ability of stroke patients. METHODS: This study enrolled 38 randomized stroke patients, and data was collected for 6 weeks. All participants were randomly assigned to either the experimental group (n = 19) or control group (n = 19). The experimental group were administered Huber rehabilitation and general rehabilitation treatment. The control group was given only general rehabilitation treatment. Both treatments were conducted for 30 minutes during each training session, 3 training sessions per week, for 6 weeks. The coordination, balance, and walking ability were evaluated before and after the intervention, to compare the intergroup and intragroup changes. RESULTS: Change in the right LOS (limit of stability) (p < .001) and forward LOS (p < .02) following intervention were significantly greater in the experimental group than in the control group, but no significant group difference was observed between left LOS (p > .1) and backward LOS (p > .2). Alterations in coordination (p < .02) and TUG (p <. 05) were significantly greater after intervention in the experimental group than in the control group. CONCLUSION: These findings suggest that HUBER rehabilitation is effective in improving the coordination, balance, and walking ability in stroke patients. To strengthen and validate the results of this study, future studies related to HUBER rehabilitation are required.

        체중심의 보조 방법에 따른 계단 오르기 시 안쪽넓은근과 가쪽넓은근의 근활성 변수들과 개시시간에 미치는 즉각적인 영향 비교

        Purpose: The aim of this study is to compare the immediate effects of weight-assisting methods on vastus medialis oblique (VMO) and vastus lateralis (VL) muscle activation, on the VMO/VL muscle activation ratio, and on muscle onset time in healthy subjects when ascending stairs. Methods: Healthy participants were randomly assigned to the belt group (n = 11), hand group (n = 11), and control group (n = 11). In the belt group, a belt was wrapped around the sacrum and pulled forward with both hands, moving the center of weight forward, while ascending stairs. The hand group grasped the hips with both hands and climbed stairs, assisting their weight fromthe rear and moving the center of weight backward, and the control group climbed the stairs without any intervention. Results: Muscle activation of the VMO decreased significantly after the intervention in the belt and hand groups, and activation of the VL muscle in both groups showed a greater decrease than that of the VMO muscle. Further, the VMO/VL muscle activation ratio increased significantly, with an improvement shown in the order of the belt group, hand group, and control group, while muscle onset time also improved in the order of the belt group, hand group, and control group. Conclusion: The belt group demonstrated the greatest effect across all dependent variables, confirming that in clinical practice, these two weight-assisting methods are more effective interventions during stair ascent for patients with knee joint instability, pain, and imbalance than no assistance.

        뒤통수밑근 억제기법과 조합기법이 넙다리뒤근 단축 대상자의 넙다리뒤근 유연성에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare changes in the flexibility of hamstring muscles which are relaxed on suboccipital muscle through suboccipital muscle inhibition and combination technique. Methods: Thirty sample subjects (16 male and 14 female) were randomly divided into an experimental group (n=15) and a control group (n=15). 1. Suboccipital muscle inhibition: Suboccipital muscles of the patients were placed on a bed. The occipital region was placed on a therapist's fingers, and the posture was maintained for three minutes before remeasurement. 2. Treatment with combination technique (body bolster and wooden pillow): Wooden pillows were placed where the participants could relax the posterior arch of the atlas; additional body bolsters were also placed to avoid high pressure, and the treatment was maintained for three minutes before remeasurement. Results: There was a statistical difference in finger floor distance (FFD) and straight leg raise (SLR) results for those treated with SMI (P<0.05). There was no statistical difference in FFD and SLR results for those treated with the combination technique (P>0.05). Conclusion: Between the two intervention methods; the suboccipital muscle inhibition technique was more effective in increasing the flexibility of subjects with a shortened hamstring than was the combination technique.
