This paper is mainly focused on the nonlinear finite element analysis for advanced power reactor 1400(APR1400) containment building to predict initial cracking of concrete wall and nonlinear behavior beyond its design pressure capacity. Concrete material model is adapted to damaged plasticity model with tension damaged sub-model. The stress-strain relationship of mild steel, tendon and liner plate are usually assumed to be elasto-plastic material model.
