This paper analyzes yearly variation of the air passenger travel volume between Korea and foreign countries. Using aggregated data, yearly variation of the air passenger travel volume is analyzed. The paper includes some descriptive statistical analyses on time-series data of the international air passenger travel volume. The analysis is conducted on the period between the year 2002 and 2012. Furthermore, some direct air travel demand models are developed by panel regression analysis for finding factors affecting the air passenger travel volume of each international route connecting Korea. The analytical results are summarized as follows. First, it is found that the air passenger travel volume for international routes connecting Korea had been increased between the year 2002 and 2012, excluding period between the year 2008 and 2009. Secondly, it is found that GDP or GDP per capita of origin and destination countries, amount of export/import between origin and destination countries, exchange rate, and the number of LCC routes(lines) between origin and destination countries are important factors affecting the air passenger travel volume between Korea and Asian countries. Thirdly, it is found that GDP of origin and destination countries, amount of export/import between origin and destination countries, and exchange rate are important factors affecting the air passenger travel volume between Korea and non-Asian countries.

The main objective of this research is the development of nested logit models of urban workers` auto ownership choice. For the utility specification, a variety of behavioral hypotheses about the factors which affect the urban workers` auto ownership choice are considered. Based on the behavioral hypotheses, two nested logit models of auto ownership choice are estimated. Empirical estimation is based on a sample of workers taken in Daegu City(1996). Overall, the nested logitt models of auto ownership choice developed in this paper provide reasonable results in terms of behavioral and statistical considerations. Furthermore, this paper analyzes income elasticities of choice probability. Finally, future directions of model development are suggested.

The main objective of this research is to analyze transportation handicapped's satisfaction level of transportation facilities in an urban area. This research uses data collected from Gyeongsan City. So far few researches have been conducted on analyzing the transportation handicapped's satisfaction level of transportation facilities. From descriptive statistical analysis of the transportation handicapped's satisfaction level of transportation facilities, some important findings are derived and discussed. This research uses some statistical tests such as chi-square test. Based on various analysis, some policy implications are discussed. Especially, various policy suggestions for the transportation handicapped are recommended for Gyeongsan City.

The main objective of this paper is to analyze use characteristics and users" behavior of parking complex annexed to a large scale discount store and a subway station. The paper uses data collected from park & ride facilities at Yongsan Subway Station in Daegu City. So far few researches have been conducted on analyzing use characteristics and users" behavior of parking complex annexed to a large scale discount store and a subway station. From descriptive statistical analysis of various use characteristics and users" behavior of the parking complex, some important foundings are derived and discussed. Moreover, several policy implications are discussed and suggested.

The purpose of this study is to analyze optimum location of theme museum. Different1y from most other public facilities, benefits occurred by construction of theme museum depend on the number of museum visitors. By considering this point, questionnaire survey was conducted for this study. For this study, 544 sarnples were gathered from Daegu City. Based on the survey data, cost-benefit analysis for finding optimum location of the museum of oriental medicine is conducted. For the cost-benefit analysis, four locational altematives for the museum of oriental medicine are considered. As the result of cost-benefit analysis using the survey data, optimum location of the museum of oriental medicine is found, and some policy implications are discussed.

This study aims to analyse the characteristics of Daegu Citizens' demand of exhibition and performance arts. For this study, learning existing literature and empirical research were conducted. The results basically indicate that the citizens in Daegu have a low degree of participation in exhibition and performance arts. The main reason is that the programs of cultural events do not draw great attention to the citizens. Therefore, it would be important to provide more public cultural facilities with new programs that meet the citizens' tastes. Moreover, the study found that the citizens of thirties are the most active participants. So, it would be important to target those citizens of thirties by providing a new set of programs and events for them. It should be also considered that new culturaI facilities should be located in the central area of Daegu. OveraII, the results of the study indicate that cultural events should be designed to serve the general public through popular programs. Partial1y, for exhibition events, the provision of public information is important in terms of increasing participation, but low-cost is an decisive factor to increase participation in concerts and dramatic performances. CulturaI learning is an important part for housewives. In order to widen their paπicipation, time schedules and contents of cultural learning should be more flexible and varÌous.

The main purpose of this paper is to design parking demand management strategies for enhancing subway choice probability in Daegu Metropolitan City. For fulfilling this purpose, at first, this paper critically reviews various parking demand management policies presently adopted in Daegu Metropolitan City. Furthermore, this paper analyzes various data on parking supply, parking operation, parking fare systems, parking regulations, and others, including survey data collected from citizens in Daegu Metropolitan City. Based on various parking policy analyses and parking data, this paper suggests parking demand management strategies for enhancing subway choice probability in Daegu Metropolitan City. The policy suggestions include various strategies on parking supply and operation, parking fare systems, regulations and enforcement on illegal parking, and others. Especially, for designing the strategies, this paper attempts to find out parking policy tools inconsistent with mass transportation policies.
