고속철도 개통에 따른 대구시민의 지역간 통행행태 변화에 관한 연구

지난 2004년 4월 1일 서울-부산, 서울-목포간의 고속철도1단계 개통이 이루어졌다. 항공을 제외한 기존의 육상교통수단으로 가장 빨랐던 새마을호 열차의 경우 서울-부산 구간 운행소요시간이 4시간 10분인데, 고속철도가 개통되면서 2시간 40분으로 단축되었고, 고속철도 2단계 개통 이후에는 1시간 56분으로 단축될 예정이다. 이러한 고속철도의 개통은 인구의 이동, 기업의 입지, 공간구조의 개편 등과 같은 변화를 주도하고 있다. 특히 고속철도는 고속운행으로 지역간 이동시간을 단축한다는 점에서 기존 광역교통체계에 미치는 영향이 크다고 볼 수 있다. 고속철도 1단계 개통 이후 대구-서울 구간은 운행소요시간이 새마을호의 3시간 3분에서 1시간 39분으로 단축됐고, 2단계 개통시 1시간 20분으로 단축되어 대구권과 그 주변 지역의 경우 지역간 통행수단에 많은 변화가 예상된다. 교통개발연구원(2003)이 수행한 『고속철도교통시대를 위한 국가교통체계 연구(1단계)』에 의하면, 수도권과의 4개 통행권역(대전권, 대구권, 부산권, 광주권) 중 시간단축효과가 가장 큰 구간은 대구-서울 구간으로 고속철도 1단계 개통시 46%의 시간단축이 이루어지며, 고속철도 2단계 개통시 56%의 시간단축이 이루어지고, 대구권 통행자들이 전체적으로 고속철도를 이용하겠다는 비율이 74.5%로 가장 높은 것으로 조사되었다.

This study aims to analyse the characteristics of Daegu Citizens' demand of exhibition and performance arts. For this study, learning existing literature and empirical research were conducted. The results basically indicate that the citizens in Daegu have a low degree of participation in exhibition and performance arts. The main reason is that the programs of cultural events do not draw great attention to the citizens. Therefore, it would be important to provide more public cultural facilities with new programs that meet the citizens' tastes. Moreover, the study found that the citizens of thirties are the most active participants. So, it would be important to target those citizens of thirties by providing a new set of programs and events for them. It should be also considered that new culturaI facilities should be located in the central area of Daegu. OveraII, the results of the study indicate that cultural events should be designed to serve the general public through popular programs. Partial1y, for exhibition events, the provision of public information is important in terms of increasing participation, but low-cost is an decisive factor to increase participation in concerts and dramatic performances. CulturaI learning is an important part for housewives. In order to widen their paπicipation, time schedules and contents of cultural learning should be more flexible and varÌous.
