        A Study on Smartphone Addiction, Mental health and Impulsiveness For High School Students at Korea

        The purpose of this study is to verify the causal relationship between the smartphone addiction proneness, mental health, and impulsiveness of high school students in Korea. 804 first and second year high school students participated in the survey that included the Smartphone addiction scale, Korean Brief Mental Diagnosis Exam - the highest 25% of total score (Addictive SmartPhone Use Group : ASPUG 213 persons), the lowest 25% of total score(Non-Addictive SmartPhone Use Group : NASPUG 204 persons), BIS-II Impulsiveness Scale and additional questions asking for demographical characteristics. The outcomes of this study were as follows. First, sex, grade of high school, academic accomplishment, student's satisfaction with school life, monthly allowance, the level of parental respect, having a opposite sex friend were related to smartphone addiction and impulsiveness. Second, ASPUG had worse mental health and impulsiveness than NASPUG, and the difference was statistically significant. Third, Students showed higher levels of mental health 9 subareas - anxiety, depression, phobic anxiety, Somatization, obsessive compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, hostility, Paranoid ideation, Psychosis as their smartphone use increased. 본 연구는 일부 고등학생의 스마트폰 이용실태를 파악하고, 스마트폰 중독정도에 따른 정신건강 및 충동성의 차이 및 스마트폰 중독과 정신건강 및 충동성과의 관계를 파악하기 위해 시도되었다. 고등학교 1, 2학년 804명의 자료를 최종 분석하였으며 중독 척도 총점 상위 25%를 중독점수가 높은 집단(213명)으로, 하위 25%를 중독점수가 낮은 집단(204명)으로 정의하였다. 학생들은 성별, 학년, 학습성취, 학교생활 만족, 용돈, 부모의 신뢰 수준, 이성 친구 유무에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 스마트폰 중독은 정신건강과 유의한 순 상관관계를 보였으며 정신건강 하부요인인 불안, 우울, 신체화, 강박, 대인민감성, 적대감, 편집성에서 모두 유의한 정적상관을 보였고 그 중 불안이 가장 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 또한 스마트폰 중독은 충동성에서도 유의한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며 정신건강과 충동성의 관계에서도 정적상관이 있는 것으로 확인되었다.

        아리랑노래 부르기가 자율신경 균형에 미치는 효과

        Several Arirang songs were sung so the researcher analyzed 19 kinds such as stress index and change of an autonomic nerve to study the effect of Arirang music on spirit and physical physiology, and the researcher measured and analyzed stress index, pulse diversity, vitality of sympathetic nerve and parasympathetic nerve, balance of an autonomic nerve, standard deviation of pulse, the normal pulse, and the normal deviation before and after singing Arirang. Also, the researcher analyzed curing effect before and after singing Arirang and did statistical analysis. In singing Arirang training songs such as original Arirang, Jeongseon Arirang, long Arirang, a popular song, and Kwansan swift horse song, it is meaningful that stress index decreased, health index increased, and these songs raise stress resistance and normal heartbeat. TP, LF (Activity of sympathetic nerve), HF (Activity of parasympathetic nerve), suggested number of deep breath, pulse standard deviation (SDNN), normal deviation (RMSSD), cardiac change (HRV), physical stress balance, and spiritual stress balance were meaningful. Autonomic nerve balance (VLF), pNN50, and relative rate between sympathetic nerve (SNS) and parasympathetic nerve (PNS) were not meaningful, but in clinical analysis, there was the effect in normal range.

        아리랑선무(仙舞)의 품새행공도의 개발과 치유효과

        A systematic and scientific study was performed to develop Arirang Seonmu for the various application of Arirang and to apply it to the traditional music therapy, one of the natural therapeutic area. The newly developed Arirang Seonmu was composed of singing and healing movement with 8 steps of Poomsae as below. In the step 1, ones sang 5 Arirang songs in the stage of “Singing arirang” for the Poomsae movement in the rhythm of “Semachi, Utmori” as a stage of “Sound practice”. In the step 2, ones had preparing exercises in the light music of main Arirang played by Polmori band as “warm up” for the Poomsae movement. 48 rhythm of “Semachi” was used. In the step 3, ones sang 2 main Arirang songs including chorus with abdomen acupressure as a stage of “Arirang Gigong” for the Poomsae movement. In the step 4, ones sang 3 Haeju Arirang songs with massage as a step of “Arirang Woongi” for the Poomsae movement. In the Semachi 56 rhythm, massage was performed in the counterclockwise direction around the belly button, left and right, up and down including flanks of both sides. In the step 5, ones tapped the whole body singing 3 Milyang Arirang songs as a step of “Arirang Tonggi” for the Poomsae movement from the belly and kidney to the both breast, arms, and legs in the direction of Yuju of Gyeongrak. In the step 6, ones had “Arirang stretching” for the Poomsae movement from neck to the shoulders, arms, waist, and legs in Utmori 36 rhythm of the 4th verse of Gangwondo Arirang. In the step 7, ones had “Arirang joing movement” for the Poomsae movement from the neck to the shoulders, arms, wrists, waist, and knees, ankles in the Semachi 36 rhythm of the 5th verse of Jindo Arirang. In the step 8, oens had “aerobic movement” or the Poomsae movement in Mulheobuk 176 rhythm of the 5th verse of Yeonpyeongdo Nanbongga. The Poomsae described above has shown systemic therapeutic effects to confirm the effectiveness of the natural therapy using the traditional Arirang music. It is expected to greatly contribute to the promotion of health of not only the Koreans but also the people of the world.

      • 아리랑(민요)부르기가 면역력과 우울감에 미치는 효과

        아리랑 노래부르기를 통하여 인체의 면역력과 우울감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 아리랑음악치유 수련곡(본 아리랑, 정선아리랑, 긴 아리랑, 노랫가락, 관산융마)를 부르며 자율신경검사를 하였다. 아리랑 노래 부르기는 교감신경 활성과 부교감신경 활성에 영향을 주어서 면역력을 향상시키고 우울감 치유에 효과가 높은 것으로 나타나서 우리민족의 전통 음악인 아리랑이 음악치유 도구로서 높은 가치를 가지고 있다고 판단한다. A study was conducted to examine the impact of singing Arirang on the human body’s immunity and depression. They performed autonomous neurological tests by singing Arirang music healing training songs (Bon Arirang, Jeongseon Arirang, Long Arirang, Noraegarak(meaning song tune), and Gwansan Yongma). Singing Arirang influences sympathetic nerve activation and parasympathetic nerve activation, improving immunity and healing depression. Therefore, It is judged that Arirang, the traditional music of the Korean people, has high value as a musical healing tool.
