Recently, there has been a growing interest in expanded sidewalks for bridges within the country. This paper deals with how to optimize the sections of existing cantilever part through the evaluation study of the structured behavior so that the efficiency of the sections is established and the cost cutting of the volume for the unnecessary need of anchor bolts is expected. In its final analysis, it is supposed that there would be some possibilities to improve workability, safety, and economics compared to the existing construction methods.

FRP rebars could be deteriorated by concrete alkalinity. This paper focuses on the evaluation of durability of FRP rebars with ribs exposed to alkaline environment of concrete. In this study, the effect of deformed type, surfaced braided type, sand coated type GFRP, CFRP, Hybrid FRP in the ribs on the durability of FRP rebar is investigated through ISS testss.

Nowadays, the necessity of the NDT technique for concrete structure has been increased due to maintenance infra-structure. Therefore NDT instrument for automation of maintenance was focused from now. In this study, internal defeat of concrete structure was investigated by using ultrasonic detection device. In the result of the experimental test, the internal cavity and steel arrangement can be detected and it was possible to adopt the ultrasonic detection method to the maintenance of concrete structure.
