WALLABY - the ASKAP HI All-Sky Survey

The "Widefield ASKAP L-band Legacy All-sky Blind surveY" (WALLABY) is an extragalactic HI survey which aims to examine HI properties and large-scale distribution of ~500,000 galaxies out to z ~ 0.27, covering a wide range of science goals associated with galaxy formation and evolution (P.I.: B. Koribalski & L. Staveley-Smith). The combination of ASKAP's exquisite column density sensitivity and a large primary beam will make it possible to systematically investigate the rarely explored low column-density HI in the universe. Ultimately, the largest and most homogeneous data set from WALLABY will drastically improve and broaden our knowledge on galaxy formation and evolution. ASKAP will be on-line in 2013, so to ensure timely and efficient reduction and analysis of the large WALLABY data set, we have been developing and testing reliable source finding tools and data analysis pipelines. In this talk I present recent progress of WALLABY, especially on the kinematic parameterisation pipeline for the spatially resolved galaxies detected by WALLABY.

In this study, calibration procedure of power assembly tools is suggested and methods are developed for calculating measurement uncertainty. Fist of all, the calibration of joint simulator bench (JSB) was carried out for maintaining traceability and the uncertainty components of JSB were analyzed. The influences of tool speed, tolerance, temperature and length of the adapter were examined by the torque measurement values through experiments. From this research, credibility for calibration results could be enhanced. This experimental results, being used as an effective tool for calibration of power assembly tools, will provide and improve the accuracy of the use of the power assembly tools.

Generally, it is used the compensation spring to compensate the inaccuracy of screen image induced by thermal deformation in CRT monitor. Its mechanism is bi-metallic system made of heterogeneous metals and these is bonded by laser welding. But laser welding induces the non-uniform temperature distribution and locally residual stress is yielded by these temperature deviation. This paper studies residual stress of laser weldment using FEA and hole drilling method. The results are followed. In the case of heterogeneous materials weldment, higher residual stress induced in the weldment region of SUS 304 which have larger CTE than Xi 36 and residual stress on the middle of specimen is higher by 10.9% than that of its surface Measured residual stress of SUS 304 yield 481MPa and that of Ni 36 is 140.5MPa in the vicinity of the welding region. And the residual distribution is very similar in comparison with FEA result.
旋削加工에서 極低溫 切削條件에 따른 切削特性에 關한 硏究

In this study, the difficult cutting materials such as austenite type Stainless steel(STS304), SNCM220, STD61 and Carbon steel for machine structural use(SM45C), Aluminum alloy(Al2024) materials were cut in the cryogenic condition of -195℃ by the liquid nitrogen and the liquid nitrogen was sprayed on the cutting part to continue the low temperature during the cutting process. I compared the force to the cut the test materials and surface roughness in cutting between in room temperature and cryognic temperature. In the test, Cemented carbide tool(KTP10) was used to cut the test materials. The cutting force were measured by the tool dynamometer(TSM-ZMM) and multicorder(5L-3I), the surface roughness was measured by surface roughness measuring instrument(SURFCOM 300B).
