The purpose of this paper is to propose a standard test methods of resistance to root penetration for waterproofing and rootproofing membrane using green roof system. Green roof system is considered to be an important subject in construction industry for green growth project. At the same time, we have to consider the counterplan for protection the damage of waterproofing layer and concrete substrate from the penetration of plant root. But many kinds of materials for protection from root penetration are using in construction field. But the performance of those materials is not clear, and there is not test methods for the evaluation of performance. So in this paper, based on the research results of 4 institutes during four years and foreign cases, we made a standard test methods of resistance to root penetration for waterproofing and rootproofing membrane using green roof system. This test method deals with about environmental condition of laboratory, experimental facilities, kinds of plant, specimen of test , management methods, evaluation duration and documents, etc.

Recently, advanced systems for water treatment are introduced for water quality improvement. One of those systems is water treatment method using ozone(O₃). For it has strong oxidizing energy, it is necessary to have material stability against O₃. In this paper, epoxy resin specimens using as anticorrosive material of concrete structure for drink water are used to serve as a material of deterioration evaluation. It is to be studied weight loss, surface corrosion of specimens, ingredient analysis of floating particle, a solute of chemical ingredient by way of accelerated ozone testing. As the results of experiment, specimen weight is decreased. The surface of specimen is eroded heavily and showed a loss of gloss and floating particle, and in the stability for drinking water, harmful ingredient is not detected in the water.

Cool roof coating materials generally use white color which has the highest reflectance, but it is a tendency to apply various colors because it can cause glare and fatigue of a nearby building user due to the urban beauty and high reflection. This study when applying color diversity material cool roof coating was carried out as a basic research for the degree of solar radiation reflectance change. Experiment result. As a result of the measurement of the reflectance of each specimen, white showed the best reflectance in the near infrared region, and black had the lowest reflectance. Also, in case of brown, it was confirmed that the reflectance of solar radiation in the near extrinsic region is lower than that of gray.

The introduction of materials and methods of construction which are appropriated to property of green roofs could be a decisive a factor in a long-range durability and economical maintenance cost, moreover, it support to variety construction system and organization. In this paper I focused to assure the basic system for waterproofing materials and root barrier apply to green roof as searching the application of field condition. And I suggest proper waterproofing and root barrier as considering the mutual connection and plant growth. and it can be a standard model to adopt to domestic green roof system.

Urethane, epoxy, acrylic have common property to adhere on the concrete dried surface in the waterproofing materials at present. In the wet condition, however, the materials such as urethane, epoxy, acrylic need a long hardening time and it become a reason of water leakage as the materials breaking down. it is one of the problem to adhere to the substrate. Therefore, in this thesis, I focused to assure the structural safety and durability and quality for water proofing and safe of construction cost by cut down the cost of labor and reduce the term of works as searching the application of field condition for high adhesive spray type of degenerated and rubberized asphalt membrane material.
