The purpose of this paper is to present the alignment layout and the way of modifying transition curve for better operation of tilting trains. It is based on data from field investigation of all curves in conventional line. In general, all curves have transition parts in the beginning and end of the main curve in order to improve the passenger s comfort. The speed-up of conventional line may need an extention of transition curves. This paper checked out whether the transition curve should be modified or not and how to lengthen it. Then the maximum train speeds in curve prior to and after the modification of transition curve were evaluated.

The track performance evaluation in curves of conventional line subjected to loading condition caused by tilting trains was carried out. And the correlations between train speed and track alignment was reviewed. The parameters of track alignment were determined by field investigation of all curves in conventional line. It was founded that the pressure of the rail did exceed the allowable stress when the tilting train speed was over 96km/hr in radius of 300m. As the radius of curvature is smaller, applied force on the track becomes larger in the curved track without regard to laying of the continuos welded rail. On the while, the change of applied force on the track corresponding to the change of the cant is not so large.

최근 미래형 신교통 대중교통수단으로 PRT(Personal Rapid Transit)시스템이 재조명받고 있다. 이 러한 PRT시스템의 가장 큰 특징중 하나로 문전수송(Door to Door)을 들 수 있는데, 대형 복합환승센 터와 같은 복잡한 구조에서는 수송에 한계가 따른다. 본 연구에서는 타 교통수단과의 쉽고 빠른 연계 와 접근효율성 증대를 목적으로 PRT 차량을 직접 수직이송시키는 개념을 도입하고, 이에 대한 개념 및 상세설계를 통한 실물크기의 수직이송장치를 제작하였다. PRT차량과의 인터페이스 기능구현 시험 을 위해 기존의 물류 분야에서 많이 채택되고 있는 가장 단순한 구조인 캔틸레버형 리프트 방식을 응 용하여 설계 하였으며, 기술적인 운용 가능성을 확인하였다.

PRT(Personal Rapid Transit)시스템은 자동차를 대체할 수 있는 친환경 미래교통수단으로 최근 국 내외적으로 활발한 연구가 진행 중이다. 이러한 PRT시스템은 기존 도심지뿐만 아니라 신도시에 저비 용으로 건설·운영 될 수 있는 시스템이다. 본 연구에서는 PRT 주행선로에 대해 승차감 및 주행안정성 을 고려한 적정 곡선선형에 대한 기초연구를 수행하였다. 설계속도로 주행시 곡선반경, 완화곡선길이, 캔트(편경사)와 같은 주요 변수들에 대한 매개변수 해석을 통해 적정 곡선선형을 제시하였으며, 향후 PRT노선건설 및 설계기준 수립시 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Superimposition of horizontal and vertical curves may hamper the ride comfort and the running stability of train and largely affect the maintenance cost. However, in many cases, it's not easy to make a track plan because of the fixed points (bridge, tunnel, turnout, catenary system, etc.) to be avoided due to the geographic conditions or to be passed for utilization of existing structures. In this study, when the horizontal and vertical curves are superimposed, in order to optimize the horizontal curve in aspect of the ride comfort , the object function P<SUB>CT</SUB>?was developed and verified by vehicle dynamic analysis. Also, the solution algorithm for simplified evaluation method was presented.

In this paper, the track impact factor of conventional line was evaluated using the data for wheel load measured in field and the properties of current operating trains. The equation for track impact factor was presented through the statistical analysis of variational ratio in wheel load and compared with other design equations in domestic and foreign countries. A review on the safety of track system in conventional line was made from the relationship between the velocity and the corresponding impact factor It was found that the impact factor from the proposed equation is a little less than the values from the equations adopted in both AREA and domestic railway, while it is same as the equation for continuous welded rail(CWR) in Japan. Therefore it could be said that the track satisfies a criteria for dynamic load caused by the train and the corresponding level of safety is guaranteed for dynamic load of the train

철도 선로선형은 한번 건설되면 변경하기가 매우 어렵다. 따라서 철도에서 선로선형의 변경은 일반적으로 큰 경제적 비용을 수반한다. 본 연구에서는 기존 고속철도 및 일반철도의 속도향상을 위한 선형개량 시, 경제성을 고려한 평면선형의 허용개량범위 결정에 설계초기조건(교각)이 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하였다. 분석결과, 교각(Intersection Angle)이 클수록 직 선부에 지장물이 있는 경우가 허용범위에 큰 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 교각이 클수록 최대 허용곡선반경은 작아지며, 허용완화곡선장은 길어짐을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 교각의 크기 및 지장물 위치에 따른 개량허용범위를 쉽게 예상할 수 있으며, 속도향상 및 선로개선을 위한 선형 개량시 지장물을 고려한 경제적 설계가 가능할 것으로 예상된다. The alignment modifications after completion of railway construction entail a lot of efforts and time as well as high additional costs. In the process of renewal of the existing railway alignment to offer higher-speed services, the effect of initial design parameters(e.g., intersection angle) on determination of allowable degree of improvement of horizontal curves under consideration of economic efficiency is investigated in this study. From the analysis results, in the case that there are obstacles at the tangent line, it was found that the larger angle of intersection has a significant effect on the permissible zone. In addition, as the intersection angle is increased, the permissible values of maximum curve radius and the length of transition curve becomes smaller and longer, respectively. It is expected that this study can contribute to the efficient and accurate prediction of the permissible zone according to the locations of obstacles and the size of intersection angle as well as improvement in the railway alignment without any additional costs.
