Objectives:This study was designed to report treatment by Sasang Constitutional Medicine to the patients with Major Neurocognitive Disorder(Dementia) from various causes. Methods:These two patients were diagnosed as Taeeumin and Soyangin according to the result of Sasang constitutional diagnosis, and treated by Sasang constitutional medications. The progress was evaluated with the Korean version of Mini-Mentel State Exam(KMMSE) and Global Disorientation Scale(GDS). Result:The symptoms like wandering, insomnia, cognitive disorder was improved in these patients. Also, KMMSE and GDS score were highly improved. the one patient was cured with Cheongsimyeonja-tang and and the other was cured with Jihwangbaekho-tang and Yanggyuksanhwa-tang. Conclusion:This cases show that Sasang constitutional herbal medications are an effective treatment for the patients with Major Neurocognitive Disorder.
천연 탄산 온천수의 아토피 유발 쥐 모델에 대한 혈소판 응집 억제 효능 평가

Objectives:Spring water is widely known to relax muscles by promoting blood circulation. This study was conducted to analyze theantithrombotic effect of naturally carbonated hot spring water (NCHW) to assess its influence on blood circulation. Methods:Atopic dermatitis was induced in the skin of the mice used in this experiment. NCHW was applied, and the antithrombotic effect was assessed and compared with that of other interventions. The positive control group was treated orally with aspirin. Results:After 3 weeks of exposure to NCHW, the experimental groupshowed a significant antithrombotic effect. NCHW also produced inhibitory responses to both collagen- and ADP-induced platelet aggregation, whereas the group given aspirin reacted only to collagen-induced platelet aggregation. Conclusions:The experiment demonstrated the intrinsic antithrombotic effects of NCHW compared with those of artificially carbonated water, tap water, and aspirin. This result suggests the possibility that NCHW can be used as a supportive and alternative treatment for vascular diseases.

Purpose : Conventional Balance Measurement can only measure the center of gravity and the shaking movement of the body. As a result, it has the disadvantages of not responding to visual changes and blocking functions of variables. This study was carried out to evaluate the performance of new equipment that measures the balance of the body using changes in body segment and pressure using the acceleration sensor to compensate for the disadvantages of the existing equipment. Methods : To this end, balance ability was measured in 43 healthy male/female adults without orthopedic injuries and nervous system damage in the last 6 months. in a situation where the visual information was restricted by Virtual Reality (VR) gear, all subjects measured and evaluated the balance ability utilizing the new equipment. Balance measurement (Prime Medilab, Korea) and Wii fit (Nintendo, Japan) were used to measure the balance ability of the subjects, and the balance ability test was performed in 4 postures using each device for data acquisition. The test duration for each posture was 30 seconds. For data acquisition, the average value of three experiments measured using each equipment was analyzed, and the statistical test was performed using the independent sample and the corresponding sample t-test, and the significance level was set to α=.05. Results : As a result of measuring the balance ability using individual equipment, blocking visual information using VR gear, the average speed, maximum speed, and moving area of the COP increased equally. It was found that the obtained absolute size of the result in Wii was somewhat larger than that of BM. Conclusion : It is considered that in the future research, it is necessary to measure changes in the body’s center of gravity through image analysis, etc., to make clear comparison and evaluation of the usability.
DNCB로 아토피가 유도된 NC/Nga생쥐에서 천연 탄산 온천수의 온도별 항아토피 효과

Objectives : The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of natural carbonated hot spring water (NCHW) on DNCB-induced NC/Nga mice, an atopic dermatitis (AD) model. Methods :At first, NC/Nga mice were prepared and induced to have atopic lesion on their back skin by dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB). They swam for 20 minutes everyday in tanks where the one is filled with 28℃ NCHW, the other is with 25℃ carbonated hot spring water and another is with artificial carbonated hot spring water (ACHW). After 3 weeks, We assessed the skin clinical score and macroscopic appearance, total IgE, IgG1 levels, WBC differential counting, IFN- γ, IL-4, IL-13, TNF-α production levels and histological changes. Results : There are meaningful results of improving atopic lesion-state by relieving the count of total IgE, IgG1 levels, WBC differential counting, IFN-γ, IL-4, IL-13, TNF-α production levels and recovering skin clinical score in the group with 28℃ NCHW in comparison with the other groups. Conclusions : The NCHW may have potential as an effective treatment for atopic dermatitis.
