Higher productivity and less cost during the manufacturing process of ships are required to maintain international competitiveness of morden manufacturing industries. But shipbuilding are ETO(Engineering To Order) production method and production process very difficult. And design changes frequent. In accordance with production planning should be set up according to change of scene. In this paper, Study of monitoring method for actual results gathering by shipbuilding is proposed to automated actual results gathering method using current information of welding machine in a assebly shop of shipbuilding.

During this time of global recession, the shipbuilding industry is exerting much effort to make profits, gradually intensifying the competition. In shipbuilding, however, the Engineering To Order (ETO) production method and production process are difficult and frequently changeless. Thus, the shipbuilding process must be actively reflected on the schedule plan rather than setting up a fixed plan once and sticking to it. For this purpose, a monitoring system must be developed, which obtains field performance data as accurately and quickly as possible. However performance data collection are difficult without a performance data collecting and monitoring system. In this paper, a method for identifying the progress of detailed processes for blocks by facilitating the data input into the block erection process, and for differentiating fitting and welding using the current values obtained from the welding machine, present. Furthermore, this paper propose a method of identifying the work progress of blocks through a correlation equation between the welding length and arc time of the block based on the acquired current data. Then the proposed method verify through experiments and suggest for progress management in block assembly shop of shipbuilding.
