Domestic energy consumption is very high as 9th in the world and relies on import to 96% of total energy consumption. Import costs reach to 195 trillion won. So the government will consistently cut down the energy consumption of the building. Especially, consumption of household energy and commercial energy in Seoul has the most consumption weight that is 55.9% in Korea. Therefore, it is very important to reduce the energy of household part. The purpose of this study is to explore the relation between the consumption of energy and the characteristics of housing and regional income in Seoul. According to the results of this empirical study, the difference of energy consumption was identified by the size of dwelling unit (electricity, water supply and district heating), the type of housing unit (city gas and district heating) and its construction year (electricity and district heating). In addition, the difference of energy consumption by the housing characteristic was remarkable for the lower income group. This study could be used to the basic information for a differentiated application by the dwelling characteristics.

This research aimed to explore the relation between the changes of Seoul's zoning and subway accessibility using time series analysis. Seoul's subway accessibility indexes from 1995 to 2009 were calculated on the basis of the distance from each subway station with the spatial unit of 50m × 50m raster cell using GIS 9.3. The changes of Seoul's zoning from 1996 to 2008 were obtained from statistics yearbooks. The relation between the accessibility and the zoning in each area was estimated in terms of correlation and sensitivity. According to the result of the analysis, the sensitivity of the commercial area was represented as the highest and most of the area with the higher accessibility indexes increased in its area. The sensitivity of the residential area was intermediate. The sensitivities of the industrial and green area were indicated as the lowest. The change of the commercial area caused by the increase of the accessibility was immediate, while that of the residential area were changed with a time-lag of 3-4 years. This research could provide an important empirical result for the policy makers to anticipate the impact of a new subway line on the change of land uses near its stations. The methodology developed for Seoul is able to be applied to other cities with subway.
GIS 네트워크분석을 활용한 도시철도역 주변지역 상업시설 입지분포패턴 추정 연구

The purpose of this study is to estimate the distribution pattern of commercial facilities around Sillim subway station in the City of Seoul during the period between 2010 and 2020. To conduct the task, this study analysed the relationship between the distribution pattern of commercial facilities and the floating population at the station. This study set up a method to estimate the commercial area around the station using the network analysis of ArcGIS 10.0. According to the result of the analysis, the buildings for commercial purpose occupy 66% from the total building units in the estimated area in 2000 and indicate 67% in 2010. Furthermore, 6% of the total building units in the area estimated in the base year of 2010 would be converted to commercial building in 2020, if the floating population in the area would be enlarged to 120% of 2010. This amounts to 64 building units. So, this study can provide an important empirical result for decision makers to quantitatively anticipate the impact of a public transport policy. The methodology developed for the study is able to be applied to the other subway stations as well.

In the daily life of the transportation vulnerable, the accessibility to the facilities such as the hospital or welfare to the destination is possible using passenger cars or semi-public transportation like a disabled taxi, etc. However, for leisure purposes, such as shopping and meetings, transportation is mainly based on public transportation, in particular, while the movement inside the station is relatively easy on the case of urban railways, after moving out of station, moving conditions are very poor in station area. Therefore, in order to improve the daily life for transportation vulnerable, in addition to the facilities inside the public transportation, the conditions of transportation in the station area are also important, and a model that can be verified and evaluated spatially is needed. This study is to empirical analysis the movement range in the urban railway station area to promote the daily life for the transportation vulnerable. A distance, area, and facilities that can be moved for a certain period of time are calculated to distinguish vulnerable areas based on the GIS walking network from the station to the subway station of the city railway which is the representative public transportation of Seoul city. We develop a model that can quantitatively analyze the effect of improvement of pedestrian facilities for transportation vulnerable.

This study is intended to provide navigator with specific information necessary to assist the avoidance of collision and the operation of ships to evaluate the maneuverability of dead weight tonnage 8,000 tons Oil/Chemical tanker. The actual maneuvering characteristics of ship can be adequately judged from the results of typical ship trials. Author carried out sea trials based full scale for turning test, Z” maneuvering test, man overboard rescue maneuver test, inertia stopping test. Consequently, 2st Overshoot yaw angle of the semi balanced rudder and flap rudder in ±20° zig.zag test showed 22.2° and 18.0°, respectively. The maneuverability of the vessel was good in the flap rudder. The man overboard rescue maneuver maneuverability test was most favorable in the flap rudder and the full load condition. The results from tests could be compared directly with the standards of maneuverability of IMO and consequently the maneuvering qualities of the ship is full satisfied with its.
개발분야의 6시그마와 TRIZ연계를 통한 새로운 경영혁신 전략

Six Sigma emphasizes KPI and establishes the present level as well as the goal level through statistical calculation and tries to achieve management innovation through process improvement. But in the area of new product development or service, sufficient data for statistical measurement may not be secured. On the other side, looking for contradictions through problem analysis, TRIZ is a methodology that stresses the process of solving these problems. TRIZ also has its own problems: it is hard to define its initial task, to objectify the measurement of effect, and to optimize the drawn out idea. The purpose of this report is to five a comprehensive understanding about each methodology(Sigma Six and TRIZ) through its analysis, to confirm the need of linking both methodologies, and to suggest a model for this linking process. Also, they will be verified through examples, and the synergy effect will be discussed.
