Low-e glazing is classified as soft low-e glazing and hard low-e glazing. Hard low-e glazing can be temperable and its handling is comfortable because its coating film is a oxide film generated at high temperatures. But there is a fatal weakness that its insulation performance and shielding performance are lower compared to soft low-e glazing by low electrical conductivity of coating film. Soft low-e glazing is excellent because its coating film consists of Ag that is excellent electrical conductivity and it has strength that can supply various product consumers want. But soft low-e glazing has weaknesses that temperable and handling are difficult because Ag is oxidized easily. Therefore this study analyzes thermal performance of glazing by changing filling gas according to applying low-e glazing through simulation to judge performance before making sample. And then we produced test specimens and measured surface temperature of windows using TVS(Thermal Video System) and thermocouples. Finally we conducted experiment of thermal performance of an actual window composed most effective materials according to the result of analysing each element. As a result, we confirmed that the thermal performance of the window composed most effective materials was improved up to about 40% compared to general single low-e windows.

Entering in the time of high oil price, seriousness of an energy effect sector has given a huge impact and the importance of energy is growing. Especially, building energy occupying 24% of total demand of energy is expected to be possible to reduce energy demand more than other section. To reduce the building energy consumption, this study analyzes function and thermal performance of insulation window by heat experimental apparatus. Super window that kinds of insulation window is a 2-track low-e glazing window for high insulation efficiency. By applying the results of this experiment to building energy efficience rating tool, this study compares energy efficiency rates depending on a region. -Jeju, South, Central. And it shows how much does types of window reduce Building energy consumption.

Entering in the time of high oil price, seriousness of an energy effect sector has given a huge impact and the importance of energy is growing. Especially, building energy occupying 24% of total demand of energy can be expected to reduce energy demand more than other section. To do this, the Building Energy Rating System is applied and implemented in Apartment houses on Jeju, South and Central region. This system calculates into energy saving rate, and certifies the building energy rating. This study evaluates the energy saving rate and rating and compares the difference in energy savings considering to each region and the thermal performance of the window. In result, the standard of the assessment house which is applied to the build energy rating system is demanded to distinguish the thermal performance of window according to regional variation.

Especially, in building energy, window system is very important component because most of energy flows through window system. To reduce energy loss through window, this study evaluates the insulation performance of curtain-wall window according to various spacer. Spacer props each glasses and also insulates thermal flow between glass and frame. Thus, this study investigates the kind of spacers and their thermal performances and applys on curtain-wall window system to calculate U-value. By using Therm 5.2 and Wiindow 5 (LBNL) simulation program, this study predicts the insulation performance of windows and proposes which spacer reduce more energy loss.

동절기 전차선의 서리와 결빙은 매우 심각한 문제를 발생시킬 수 있다. 팬터그래프의 집진 스트립의 기계적 표면과 전차선 사이에 서리 또는 결빙으로 인한 아크가 발생하게 된다. 이에 따른 전기적 저항은 팬터그래프와 전차선 사이의 전류의 품질을 감소시킨다. 해빙시스템은 동절기 전차선의 서리와 결빙을 녹이는 역할을 한다. 해빙시스템의 원리는 전차선의 임피던스의 Joule열을 이용하여 서리와 결빙을 제거하는 것이므로 전차선의 온도는 인가전류가 증가할수록 증가하였으며, 풍속이 증가할수록 감소하는 것을 알 수 있었다.
