        Heat engine that changes heat energy into mechanical work does heat exchange between high heat source and low while working fluid undergoes cycle process. When you design and operate a heat engine you should consider not only the cycle itself but the heat exchange process and should calculate the optimum condition. In high heat source there is a heat loss of itself owing to different temperature with surroundings and part of heat transmitted to working fluid in cycle also discharges directly into the air because of heat loss at pipe arrangement and the turbine. In this paper I examined on the output change and the maximum output condition in accordance with the operation condition of reversible cycle and on the operation condition of the cycle to calculate the maximum output by Rankin cycle. I studied on the typical Rankin Cycle by calculationg outputs with various operation condition and examined the results.

        A delivery valve has installed to a was out pump in order to control keeping off counter flow and delivery volume in case of an accident of out of order pump. Condensing water has been supplied to a boiler by circulation pump through a condensing tank Condensing tank contained condenser cooling system or boiler condensing water. A shutting down of a pump operation by sudden interception a circulation pump decreased cooling water or delivery volume of supplying water. By this a sudden water hammer is caused in the system. According to pump characteristic, driving condition of delivery valve the feature of geometry in system and condensing water condition, water hammer was changed and the destruction in system can be happened in violence. In this paper, I have made a numerical value analysis on the water hammer affected by the change of a section for materials in system applycating to driving condition of delivery value. Pump characteristic and a water hammer equation when the pump stopped suddenly.

        The mechanical materials which they has used in an fluid and gas atmosphere of high temperature should be good state of persevering-oxidation and corrosion. They should sufficiently be in possession strength at high temperature. The design of structure materials and estimation of satisfaction has satisfactorily been difficult as a design mothod by allowance stress giving suitable satistaction at tensile stress of materials and yilding point. It is necessary specific character that be introduced the conception by technologically using breaking mechanics to sufficiently analysis and interpretation. In general, adding to pre-stress as tensile stress and compression to materials at the normal temperature should be changed fatigue limit with work hardening. In this paper, I have experimentally received change to fatigue limit as elevated temperature that I have applied heat to 400℃ temperature from normal temperature SM 20C steel. I have experimentally studied about to the birth of a small surface crack and the specific glowing. I have theoretically writed about applying to breaking mechanics and limit point.

        In this paper, I have studied on the harmonic drive compared with actual profile. I have obtained the result as followe: 1. harmonic drive could obtained high speed ratio, high torque capacity and high reduction ratio. 2. Harmonic drive has largely used as a good many gearing tooth form. 3. Harmonic drive has a good many changed tooth form gearing charateristic according to eccentricity shift coefficient and eccentric facfor. 4. We can obtaine a good proper shift coefficient by strength analysis.

      • 평벨트에 작용하는 장력과 미끄럼속도 및 마찰특성에 관한 고찰

        The belts has been used for power transmission between two shafs. The belts do grinding between grain size of grinding and workpiece, and the necessary power is transmitted by friction between belt friction surface and pulley. The flat belts for power transmission are composed of tensile element and friction surface. Resulting from the strength, flexibleness and durability, the cotton belts has generally been used. In this paper, I have studied on the relation of tensile forces belt and pulley for cotton flat belts and for normal and tangencial friction forces distribution. I have compared them with their friction characteristics and it was suggested theoretical formula as a surface model. I have studied on the phenomenon creeping, sliding velocity and fric-tion coefficient of friction surface.

        I have studied on the combine natural convection and radiation I have obtained result as follow : 1. The profile was very changed in position according to flat plate which we have taken measures boundary layer and temperature. 2. We can generally make an estimate to tendency as a approximate value which optical thickness is smaller than one. 3. The less Stark numbers is decreased the more optical thickness increased momentum boundary layer of thickness and flow velocity were increased. It was accelerated heat trnsfer on the ground of convection. 4. Transition to turbulence is retarded with the increase of the radiation effect. 5. When the optical thickness is one, the radiation effect is negligible for the Stark numbers larger than 10.

      • 疲勞破壞에 대한 疲勞破面解析 및 破壞力學에 관한 考察

        Structural materials has well been ruptured in use. And there have been many attempts to design and manufacture them not to rupture. Accordingly a close examination on the causes of developing rupture has to be made, and we need to develop new materials and improve new methods of design and construction work. We have a fractography as a method of getting important informations on a cause of rupture. We understand the causes and conditions of producing rupture by closely observing the breaking phase and putting an interpretation on it. A fracture of excessive prominence and depression has recently been observed by developing the electronic microscops and spreading them. They furnish us important data for an easy understanding the parts which have problems of structural differences of breaking between the surface and the inside of the material. In this paper, using SM 20C steel, we made an experiment on the changes of fatigue limit with rising temperature from normal temperature to 400 ˚C. We explained this fracture phase centering around fractography by electronic microscope.
