하렉스인포텍은 적외선 통신기술을 이용하여 휴대폰 버튼 한 번만 누르면 대금이 결제되는 시스템을 세계 최초로 개발한 회사이다. 이처럼 뛰어난 기술력이 인정되어 IrDA(국제 적외선 통신 데이터 협회)로부터 지난 12월 국제표준 규격으로 선정되었다. 또한 이 기술의 상용화를 위해 국내에서는 성남시와 시범사업을 시작하였으며, 국내·외 많은 기업과 제휴하여 서비스를 제공 중에 있다. 본 사례는 국내의 작은 벤처기업이 어떻게 하여 세계로부터 인정받는 기업이 되었는지 그 원인을 살펴보고, 현재 이 기업이 고민하고 있는 문제가 무엇인 지에 대해 다루고 있다. HAREX InfoTech Inc. is pioneering a new mobile system that combines the best of long-distance communications using mobile telecommunications networks and short-distance communications based on infrared technology. In the process, it is establishing itself as the undisputed leader in the industry with its cutting-edge technology and global-standard service. IrDA has recognized HAREX`s technology and accepted its Express Pay as the international standard technology in last December. For the full-scale commercialization, the first trial began in April 2002 in Seongnam City, South Korea at nearly 100 stores and HAREX is providing services to many domestic and foreign firms based on the strategic alliance relationships. This case is investigating the various causes about how this small venture firm is recognized internationally and is dealing with the current problems.
Hot - Wall Epitaxy에 의한 CdTe(100) 박막의 성장과 광전류 특성

Hot-wall epitaxy 방법에 의하여 GaAs(100) 기판 위에 CdTe(100) 박막을 성장하였다. 박막을 성장하는 동안 기판의 온도는 280℃, 증발원의 온도는 430℃로 유지하였고 성장률은 2 ㎛/h이었다. 박막의 두께가 증가함에 따라 격자상수와 2결정 X-선 요동곡선의 반폭치가 감소하였다. CdTe(100) 박막의 광전류 스펙트럼으로부터 에너지 띠간격의 광전류 봉우리는 가전자대 Γ_8에 있는 전자가 광흡수에 의해 전도대 Γ_6로 전이한 것이며, 에너지 띠간격의 온도의존성을 구한 결과 온도계수 a=-2.3~-3.5×10^(-4) eV/K 정도임을 알았다. CdTe(100) epilayers were grown on GaAs(100) substrates by hot-wall epitaxy. During the growth, the substrate and source temperatures were maintained at 280℃ and 430℃, respectively. The growth rate of the epilayers was 2 ㎛/h. The lattice parameter and full width at half maximum of double crystal x-ray rocking curve were decreased as the epilayer thickness increased. From the photocurrent spectrum of the CdTe(100) epilayer the photocurrent peak corresponding to the band gap was thought to be due to the direct transition from the valence Γ_8 to the conduction Γ_6 with the absorption of light. From the variation of the band gap energy with temperature the temperature coefficients were about -2.3~-3.5×10^(-4)eV/K.
흡연과 낮은 방사선 피폭량이 Lymphocyte DNA 손상에 미치는 영향

Single cell gel electrophoresis (SCGE) was used to the experiment with the variation on the amount of smoking and low dose radiation exposure to find how much the Lymphocyte DNA was damaged, and especially for whom smoke a lot (about 20 or more than 20 cigarettes a day) it was found to be highly damaged. While, the damage of 'not more than 20 cigarettes a day' was found to be not so much significant as like for whom smoke about or more than 20 cigarettes a day. And, according to the different amount of the radiation exposure, the Lymphocyte DNA was found to be considerably damaged for 0~13 m Sv (P<0.01), it was not able to prove the relationship between the DNA damage and the radiation exposure.
