This paper presents the CFD analysis process of maneuvering performance for hull form design using commercial software. Structural grid was generated according to the standardized process and the CFD results were validated using the ITTC quality manual. The standard wall function recommended by the commercial software was used and the boundary setting method for drift and turning was developed and applied for CFD solution. Grid type tests show that the different grid system can give us different results and the grid type selection is also important for the consistent results. Through the comparison with PMM tests of KVLCC 1 and KVLCC 2, usefulness of the process of CFD calculation is confirmed.
