스마트TV, 스마트폰, 태블릿 컴퓨터 등 다양한 스마트 기기의 이용이 급격하게 확산됨에 따라 방송콘텐츠의 소비패턴 또한 변화하고 있다. 시청자는 더 이상 방송콘텐츠를 시청하기 위해 TV 앞에 앉아 기다리지 않으며, 관심 있는 콘텐츠를 추천받거나 선택하는 방법을 적극적으로 이용하고자 한다. 이러한 소비패턴의 변화는 새로운 방송서비스에 대한 요구사항의 형태로 나타나고 있다. 스마트 방송서비스는 이와 같이 변화된 시청자 소비패턴에 대응하기 위한 새로운 방식의 콘텐츠 전달 서비스로, 스마트 방송서비스 실현을 위해서는 다양한 기술의 개발 및 적용이 요구된다. 본고에서는 스마트 방송서비스를 제공하는 데 필요한 기술 중 방송콘텐츠 분석 기술에 대한 연구동향을 살펴보고, 더불어 한국전자통신연구원에서 개발하고 있는 방송콘텐츠 분석 기술에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

This study introduces artificial intelligence (AI) techniques for video generation. For an effective illustration, techniques for video generation are classified as either semi-automatic or automatic. First, we discuss some recent achievements in semi-automatic video generation, and explain which types of AI techniques can be applied to produce films and improve film quality. Additionally, we provide an example of video content that has been generated by using AI techniques. Then, two automatic video-generation techniques are introduced with technical details. As there is currently no feasible automatic video-generation technique that can generate commercial videos, in this study, we explain their technical details, and suggest the future direction for researchers. Finally, we discuss several considerations for more practical automatic video-generation techniques.

As a new approach to analyze grinding energy, this paper introduces a specific grinding energy model based on the average grain. Using this model, grinding characteristics such as radial and tangential forces, specific grinding energy of SM45C were investigated altering grinding variables such as workpiece velocity(v) and apparent depth of cut(Z) in down-surface grinding. From the experimental results, there is no significant difference between the radial, tangential forces and vertical, horizontal forces because of small contact angle between wheel and workpiece. The specific grinding energy decreases as the maximum undeformed chip thickness increases. But, there is much difference between the specific grinding energies of the existing and the proposed model.

In end milling process, undeformed chip thickness and cutting forces vary periodically with phase change of the tool. Recently, a model has been proposed to simulate the shear and fiction characteristics of an up-end milling process in terms of the equivalent oblique cutting to this . In the current study, a down-end milling process has been replaced with the equivalent oblique cutting process. And shear and tool-chip friction characteristics variation of SM45C steel has been studied using the end-mills of different helix angles. The specific shear and friction energy consumed with helix angle of 50˚ is somewhat larger than those of 30˚ and 40˚. The specific shear energy consumed is about 76-77% of the specific cutting energy regardless the helix angles.
