This paper presents a design method for improving the power density using the reluctance torque of Interior a permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle(PHEV). First, the different of the d-axis inductance and the q-axis inductance is increased in order to increase the power density of the motor. And Through the EL map, the characteristics of the motor according to the range of the inductance and the back electromotive force (Back-EMF) are calculated. And the stability is verified by the rotor structure analysis at the maximum speed. We select the bridge thickness, the permanent magnet angle, and the distance between the 1-layer and the 2-layer as the optimal design parameters, and proceed through the optimal design through the reaction surface method. Finally, the electrical characteristics and mechanical stability of existing models are discussed.

This paper presents a thermal model of Concentrated Flux-type Synchronous Motor(CFSM) for Dual Clutch Transmission(DCT) applying the equivalent rotor model. In order to perform the thermal analysis of CFSM using Lumped Parameter Thermal Network(LPTN), the shape of motor is reflected as hollow cylinder. Especially for the rotor of CFSM, the area, outer and inner diameter of the permanent magnet were constantly equalized. Conduction and convection thermal resistances were calculated by using dimensions of the equivalent rotor model. Then, the losses such as copper loss, iron loss, and mechanical loss are calculated and applied to the LPTN as heat sources. The heat capacity, which enables the transient thermal analysis, is calculated by using dimensions and the material properties. Finally, the temperature characteristics of each part of the CFSM are predicted using LPTN.

Background: When the licorice cultivated in Korea, the quality index components are lower than the standard value, and physiological disorders occur frequently. Therefore, we evaluated the growth and yield characteristics of resources to develop licorice varieties suitable for the domestic environment. Methods and Results: Glycyrrhiza resources were collected from five nations. Leaf margin has been identified as a species-specific characteristic that distinguishes G. uralensis and G. glabra. Glycyrrhiza resources were observed in flowers and seeds for 2 years. Leaf abscission began to fall from July and lasted until November according to the characteristics of the resources. As the number of cultivation years increased, root length, rhizome length, and rhizome number were not significantly related, however, root diameter, root weight and rhizome weight were significantly related. The skin root color became dark after a year. Yield (dry weight of underground part) increased mostly from the first to second year, whereas the yield changed depending on resource characteristics in three years. The yield was positively correlated with dry rhizome weight, plant height, stem diameter, and root diameter. Cluster analysis indicated that, they were classified into three clusters. Among them, the resources in group Ⅲ were confirmed to be of high quantity and quality. Conclusions: GLY13-05, GLY14-02, and GLY14-06 of Glycyrrhiza resources were evaluated as having excellent growth and yield characteristics. Moreover, they can be cultivated in domestic environments.

In IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor), the induced voltage increase in high speed driving and then the THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) of induced voltage will be increased because of the local saturation of the air-gap magnetic flux density during field weakening control. This paper proposes a method of reducing the line to line induced voltage not to exceed the voltage limit in high speed driving. The first method is to define the air-gap length as ICF(Inverse Cosine Function), and the other is to apply the eccentricity in rotor. When ICF and eccentricity are applied, the spatial distribution of the magnetic flux density can be sinusoidal. This paper compares the maximum values of the induced voltage changing the ratio of d axis and q axis air-gap length and eccentricity radius. As a result, the specification can be satisfied when the q axis air-gap length is 4 [㎜] in ICF model.
